its very addictive !

I have had a few accounts, a few names. I always seem to make a mess of them in some way or another and say im never gonna play again then a few weeks later i start from scratch and do the same again. Im always amazed at how friendly and helpful some people can be then on the other hand how unhelpful others can be which in most occasions is down to myself and my actions. I like the community you guys have hear, how people form all over the world can come together, all the moans, politics, **Filtered** that goes on but i guess thats what makes it as addictive as it is. I think a lot of people are jealous of others success, i know i look at the big accounts and think i want that but Im not really prepared to learn the game and play properly i want to be given the success or buy it. I take my hat off to the big players for getting accounts so good. Maybe next time i come back i might learn properly and give people the respect there due.

i used to play a few years ago but i was hurt at work and didnt have the time so set my account on vac and ended up giving it to a mate. now i do and i came back. the game has changed a lot so im learning again but i do wish a few things would change to make wars more challenging and less profitable...
but the main reason i came back was to catch up with some great friends i have met
but unfortunatly most have left already

if the game is boring for you, then sell up and start again. its easier to grow larger now then ever before but you still have to catch up with ascentions, ms, etc

DDE, I love everyone in DDE and I enjoy logging on and chatting with whomever is around and teaching new players. I just like it.

as of now i'm on vac mode because of a family thing

but like TC said i like the planning of it running numbers and plans through the calc and notepad, wars seem to be abit pointless now beack in the day when it was just omega UTA and whatever you went to war it lasted 7-10 days and there was a clear cut winner, i missed the server war and i'm glad i did to be perfectly honest what a waste of time.

the politics back in the day were better as well imho you had puck etl and wolf talking in secret planning grand alliances and what not now its a tad boring its all naps and whatever i dont remember naps in my time the only rule was dont hit omega lol

in part i think these empires had a part in killing the game and altho i'm part of one having 150 players in 5 alliances sticking together kinda stalmates the game your mates could've been your foe's and you could've had some great wars with them and a laugh


who ever is playing other games can i get some links to check them out?

To be honest if it wasnt for my allaince i would have left last year.
Christmas is coming up so il probably hit vac and since i dont need to play to stay around the forums allaince and main i may stay on it.
Past month or two the ive no hunger at all to play

i've been thinking over this since my last post.

the hey day of this game has gone lets admit it and try to work towards getting it back, i remember when i was at my peak (not saying i was a great player my highest rank so far was 25th lol) i had 600- 700 players on my msn they were active signing in sometimes was more trouble than it was worth and it usualy crashed my dial up connecting lol

i only created an msn account when i started playing this game when i was 16-17 ( now 23) since coming back a few months ago and having to create a new msn because i forgot my login and user name i've manage to get 75 people on msn and about 15 of them are RL friends that dont even play the game or know what stargate is. back in the day everyone knew everyone i even had ETL's msn even though i dare not message him lol you all speck about community its nothing like it was a few years back even the forums are dire (sp?)

the only way i see us moving forward is a deletion of all accounts not logged into in the past 6 months not on vac mode(75k players? please) a reset (yea i said it) anti covert and planets removed, lifers stay but kill spies instead ascenion should stay but worked on so its playable and enjoyable to play. empires shoul, go its holding up the talent that could be giving you great wars 1 alliance and 1 training alliance should be what everyone agrees to ( i know i'm part of an empire and i know for a fact i'd be cut away if this happend but i dont mind if it restarts the game). the in game war calc should be the final word 10-20's days war max

Indeed the only reason I play anymore is because of the social side of the game. Actually playing the game is just something to do when I'm bored and have nothing else to do. In fact sometimes I just go on Vac Mode (like I did at the start of the year) in-game for months but remain just as active as ever on the forums and MSN. Unless I find another group of people I can talk to and have as much fun with while I'm sitting at home just watching TV or doing homework then I won't be going anywhere...

Boredom and the fact that my friends keep on dragging me back in, damn pests.

I agree entirely. It's the friends i've made inside and out of TÅ that keep me here.

If it wasn't for DDE I would have probably left again, but I'm having too much fun.

And I still believe admin Jason will eventually fix what's wrong with this game, although sadly, some updates can't be taken back without making a few players really, really mad.

I love the people i play with, and the total crap we talk about game related and other things. the game itself has lost the appeal i once used to have for it.

the few people i still hang around for, im trying to convinve them to all commit sgw suicide and delete our accounts. but they want me to go first
