perhaps, if you wish to go through with it, instead of "founder" call it "pillar of the community"?

That should cover what it is, and not go on to be valued simply for "ingame" skill.
It doesn't really show true value if the skill is pretty much only in numbers.

The HoF is **Filtered** if it's exclusive to those who have been a force in the game. It should incorporate the efforts of those who have made this community what it is. Some of us actually give a **Filtered** about these boards and also keeping people together, otherwise we wouldn't have wasted seven years of our young lives, growing older and greyer here. Psi is one of those people who deserves to be noted for his efforts.

Sorry for the filtered words, but it aggravates me very much to think that someone could waltz in this year even, throw a bucket load of cash at the game, get him or herself to rank one, sit there for 6 months, bust a few alliances up single handedly and then by January 2013 be put into the HoF.

Hence our idea of calling it "Pillars of the Community". A $$-throwing player won't get that.

It should still be called the HoF, but the criteria needs a serious make over.

With the way the awards work it would not be possible to get the HoF to work well. The requirements are far too loose and people don't fully understand the importance. There is also the problem of the too-large number of people already in there that hardly did anything for the community beyond maybe founding/leading an alliance or two for a while or doing something special ingame.
We've long advocated far stricter requirements for the HoF, but not had much success (as you probably can see)...
