Is everyone here a bit tense ?

I don't see AK doing anything wrong here except asking for more independence, he's not asking people to be disloyal jumping from one alliance to another each time they grow strong - just asking someone to do what we in this community had in the past, help create more strong alliances that are independent.

At least, that's how I see it.

I do encourage people that have idea's to share them.

pah. Nemesis was no mid range alliance, it WAS the third super power at it's height and an Empire. Perhaps at the end after years of degradation and neglect.. but the real Nemesis was no light weight.

It's just the times of the game. Less players means a reduces crop of players willing to form alliances and brave the environment away from the larger forces. Less fighters and less players of a high enough quality to base alliances around.

Bad style of play (money horders) means people are bothered to put effort into the game as...well.. what is the point? If every account achievement can be bought in 20 seconds rather than fought and built up over months in a competitive way, and then the peons who make up numbers in alliances only go to those strong cash built accounts... well... what is going to happen?

Strong get stronger, smaller stay small and everyone in between just becomes a pure reflection of the overall numbers. In this case.. not many.

Don't be sad though... anyone with half a brain has seen all this coming post summer 2005 when ascension and SS were first truly conceived of. XD

talking about attention...

Some of those alliances you named were awesome. Vodka is not worth to stand in its shade mister.

On the other hand, you are right. It was more fun when the teams were more balanced.

Alliances are still aligned to main players eg Ricos and DDE

lol this was meant originally as a reply to Tek.. damn typing with one hand :/

Ricos and DDE have a nap that is all we have in relation to them, just like Ricos and mH there is no official pact between Ricos DDE and mH

Unlike DDE/mH who have a pact together ;)

as it currently stands Ricos is independent 8)

Redundant in the sense that, when such alliances are the exception to the norm rather than the standard the majority plays along with, as they were in the past, the perceived advantages and differences between independents and aligned forces is effectively moot.

Im sure theres a pretty big and yet independant alliance you missed out of that initial post :P

but i agree, big groups of people banding together all uniting under the same policies makse the game dull, if the game continues in that direction all that will be left is 2 empires / alliances doomed to fight for eternity.

@ Harch, dont talk crap really annoys me.

On topic, I think my position is well known, I have always said the game would be better with as many independent alliances as the player numbers can sustain, no NAPs/affiliations, and I would love to see many of the old names return.

In FS we try to lead by example and show that independents can survive and thrive against the odds through close friendships, sheer stubbornness and force of will :smt050

It is sad to see barely any mid range alliances left, my biggest issue with trying to get TC on its feet after the little run in with TAF was there just isnt enough new players, As an alliance leader you need to recruit and have a decent amount of members at least. Ya never know, things might change, one must be optimistic.
