its a security thing in other words.

I would just see if you reset the security settings or set them to low or not all for SGW.

I'm getting the same problem in IE. I could play last night(I'm in GMT -5), but not today.
I can log into Chaoswars, but neither of the others. I've cleared the cookies, and temporary internet files. I've set the security level to low, and still get the "There was a conflict with your connection or your cookie expired. Please relogon".
Firefox lets me log in, but I'm not very fond of the browser.

Has anyone tried deleting the cookies and then rebooting the computer?

Let me know if rebooting works.

I know exactly what you guys are talking about, and now I'm wondering what OS (operating system) you guys are running. Anything other than XP may need to reboot before it starts working again.

Try rebooting after deleting the cookies and let me know.

Just a moment ago I tried deleting the cookies and immediately rebooting, still get the error. I'm on windows 98, using IE 6

I can now long into the main server, but still not Quantam wars. I have changed nothing.

I get this error when trying to log into Quantam wars:

Code: Select all

I do have cookies enabled. So it's a wee bit confusing.

Well my next thoughts would have been to check the version of IE but 6 & 7 have been mentioned so it rules that out.

I'm trying to think of some settings in IE, but also any that might change themselves (since I'm guessing that all of you have been able to get in before).

The problem with this is there is no consistent thing that is coming up as the problem. I had a friend with the same problem but like I said clearing the cookies\files. He then waited about 10-20 minutes and then it let him in fine.

Hang in there everyone I'm trying to think of something but getting a wall everytime.

Speaking of which check the firewall's. School firewalls can prevent some things, can't imagine cookies but Ive heard of weirder things.

EDIT: Try manually killing the cookies. Delete them and then open the file where they are stored. Keep the browser open for that and then close ALL IE windows. Then check and make sure that EVERY SINGLE cookie is gone. I have a funny feeling that IE may not get rid of the cookie even if you tell it to.

Same here for main server... I thought it was my browser... but nothing works... doesn't even matter if its Mac or PC

I'm getting the same thing here (using firefox) i logged in about an hour ago no probs but now cant get in.

I have cleaned my cookies incase they were out of date or causing a problem, all cookies are enabled, i have tried closing firefox and reopening incase there was an error in the window, but nothing :(
