interesting idea... it would make it easier for beginners, as it would ensure that they gained the bonus of the planet at least 24 hours, and it would also give them a chance to buy at least some defense on it...

I like this idea, but why not make it something simpler like how ppt works. So you would only be able to send your MS away 2 days out of 7.

I say 2 days rather than 4 so as the acc that is steaing the planets can not hide for 4 days on ppt and then send their MS away, after stealing planets, for the remaining 3. Thats way the whole planet stealer business is not put to an end, cos it is a new aspect to the game (and you have to give the planet stealers some credit for having the balls to steal from much larger players), but there would be more risk involved in stealing a planet.

I know I've prob not thought this through but I thought I'd chip in with my thoughts.

Feel free to rip my idea apart for its flaws below :)

i like the idea of a time period for mothership construction, and i think it should apply to the building of the mothership as well as the number of weapons put on it. it adds realism to the game. also it would help from the quick ascentions. if those trying to ascend then reascend within a week had to take time to build an ms it would make it so that they slowly go up in rank not instantally jump to rank 50-200

This is the same as when you steal a planet you can't steal another for 24 hours because the MS has exhausted it's power, or like when you send the MS away to search for a planet that it takes 24 hours.

3) Maybe have it so that you can't abandon planets unless you have 10 already and you need to make room for another. This would prevent the "steal, and abandon" tactic. If you had 10 planets, you could abandon one, but if you only had 9 or less, to drop a planet it'd have to be stolen.

I liked the suggestion about having Fleets directly related to either MS weapons by a % or by total account stats by %, I was thinking of something along the same lines but hadn't quite figured out what I was trying to do with it but still keep it balanced.

i have an addition to your idea, how about make any planet youve stolen unable to be abandoned for 24 hours.

which would keep people from losing their planets and not being able to get it back. (of course it wouldnt stop people from just selling the planet ( or giving it away (unless some sort of planet ppt was implemented)))

*fleets can only be a max of 50% of total ms power* so if your ms has 5bil power, only 2.5 of it can come from fleets. but maybe that numbers too big... 25%??

I just got this message when I tried to send my mothership out after stealing a planet
You must wait a full 2 hours to refuel and repair your mothership, after successfully conquering a planet, before it is ready to engage on an exploration mission.


You all better be happy now :P

Not completly happy yet, but 2 hours is a start at least though I think it should be even longer

it's good although i think it should be at least 6 hours.
also i agree that you should not be allowed to abandon a planet unless you got 10 or you'd at least have to wait a day (i mean why hsould anyone want to abandon a planet to loose their bonuses, unless they only want to annoy people which should be gravely discouraged with appropriate updates)

Guys your forgeting what of you wanted a planet but you'd been massed lately you cant build fleets so whats point in having them

or if you dropped rank to get some planets from noObs sat S T I did and you can because you have no stats

perhaps make it 50% of the total motherships weapon (strike action)

so a mothership attack of say 2billion

would result in a 1 billion fleet...

otherwise if it was all teh mothership you would get about 6 bill from 1k shields/weapons which would give a 3bill fleet (too high)

or perhaps if you thought of it from the sense of the shields having to protect the fleet hangers... then you would do it on 50% of the shield power...

but I feel there should somehow be a limit on the fleet power compared to the motherships power...

a high ranked player would be able to have a large fleet due to spending lots on the mothership (e.g. 40bill mothership power) but a planet stealer would have to spend more (they are funded somehow) so it would make them less cost effective...

great idea. but i also think it must be prevented to abandon or steal a planet right after it gets stolen by anyone but the previous owner
