I read in this thread before that there are people how can access the SGW on other web browers that they downloaded, but I can't see how a web browser can fix this problem. Also, has forum found out the cause of the problem? I was also expecting to be able to access SGW after a night's sleep, the problem must be more serious than I thought
Has there been somesort of annoucement?

Ah, this reminds me of a time, long long ago, when we couldn't get the page up and I pissed every off in the chat room. It's similar to what's going on now.

its nice that the mods here lock all those other threads about the login bug, but can they PLEASE also delete them? it's getting very annoying now to see like 10-12 threads about this :/

Ok. Let's do some calculations:
Admin sad we have a big & shiny new server.
Shiny server should have RAID5 with min 3x 74GB SCSI HDD.
So our new computer has 148 GB of free space.
System (Let's asume linux) takes max 8 GB.
All outher stuff (Games, sql databes, swap, etc..) cannot take more than 10 GB.
So we haad 130 GB of free space and now it 0 disk space
Let's say that this server is runnign for 14 days
130/14 = 10 GB a day (rouned)
Forum. We really love you. You read 10 Gb log file a day for us who is cheating and who is not.
2nd thought: Noone reads logs alrger than 10 Kb a day unless it's payed good.
I hope you got what I mean.... Forum... P2P and game does not belong to same server...

The Deity wrote:I think people need to cut Forum a little slack here and stop demanding blood. He'll fix it when he comes on, if he isn’t in the process of doing so already.
Even if a few people can log on, Forum will have logs of all actions taken during this time and he can fix any losses that may eventuate. I say sit tight and let the man do his thing. **Filtered** will only serve to irritate him and remember, this is a ‘FREE’ online game. Those of us who have poured real money into it need to settle down, there are a few of you out there and Forum is well aware of the fact that your hard earned currency ‘MAY’ be in a ‘LITTLE’ jeopardy.
You say that - but the fact is - Forum wasn't aware of the 8 page thread discussing the pros and cons of the login code until it was brought to his attention. What I'm trying to say is - don't assume that he is working on this - he may not be aware of it.

muc, nice post there. First actual intriguing point i;ve read in this 14 page disaster. I wonder if maybe the system was not dumping information, and no one noticed, and so for 10 days it just built up and up.
We can speculate a billion possibilities. As i've said elsewhere, if i were Admin, i;d be sat in the garden, enjoying the sun and laughing at you guys all the while. I'd only return to the console to check that you were all still having a panic attack.
Possibly why I'm not Forum.

Emmm did you ever have a server ???? 10gb

we have a network server with 255 users and it enerates about 30 gb of logs in 1 day so let's say we have about mmm what 400 users min. playing each doing different things .... so 10 gb is small

still I hope admins get payed good coze they read alot of junk to keep the game clean

and I personaly know how hard it is to look throu all that logs and I am thankfull for the nice game they keep:D hope the login bug gets fixed soon

I would also like to point out that Forum/Admin is only human
- and it is night time in the US at the moment.
I am also informed that GameMod will be making an announcement soon(ish).
