K, I understand. There was so much influence on his race for a while there, I thought I should express my opinions on voting for just his race.

Now, voting just because he's a Democrat is still not a justification in my mind. Democrats=/= saviours, Republicans=/=demons. Each party has a strong point, or at least likes to think it does. Democrats are tend to focus domestically, and often are linked with welfare, blue-collar, the socially liberal, education, etc., and bigger government (ironically, they also support lower taxe, so no one is sure how'd they pay for it 0.o) Republicans are more focused on foreign policy (insert laugh for last eight years), military, big business (one of my reasons for considering myself independent rather than Republican), moral guidelines ( can anyone say separation of church and state?) and smaller government. This being said, both party members are not strictly stamped out of the same mold. The Blue Dog Democrats and Ron Paul are very much the same (socially liberal, fiscally conservative), yet they are on different sides of the aisle.

So (to wrap up this monstrosity), I'd say that just because he's a Democrat doesn't make him an instant choice. It's his record, morals (who wants a sleezebag representing the country. Make him Chief of Staff instead), and his vision that count. Obama has the last two, but I don't think he has the experience or the party independence. McCain, I feel has all three.

I would agree that Obama could very well be a serious candidate in four or eight years.. :)
He needs to develop himself and his political position a bit more.

As for McCain: HAIL the Mac.
*salutes*
A true American hero, as his campaign vids say. :D
Yeah.. I actually watch those.. :)

But I will make the sound of walking cats now, as I have no actual contribution to make. *shimmers*
I'll gather evidence for a new, good post.

What is that race thing in top of your post? You mean race for democrat spot or it's wrong thing I fear? Because you know rl =/= stargatewars roleplay stuff, there is only ONE race, damn!
Rest seems to have arguments to defend your position, I recognize you have arguments that can be considered fully.

Why do you actually bother of US elections that much if you don't live there by the way? Political analysis alright but support hmmm well that wouldn't have effect you know lol...why do I support Obama then? To protest and drop my opinions on table even if I know they don't count very much more as I'm not owner of an american elector card, but at least I protest and show my views and I like it.

i don't have time to read through all 4 pages (read just the first) but i have to add my 2 cents:

the choice americans have is kinda like between typhoid and cancer. nothing really decent.
Grand Admiral Martin wrote:Actors make good Presidents, look at Regan!

reagan was good, he had principles, good economic program and guts. all those guys today have problem with at least one of the above qualities and ALL want too much state interventionism here and there.

the reason for this may be the democracy itself when the leaders want to suit the majority (or lobbies) instead of creating a trully free society (as the founding fathers wanted).

so: Image

btw: some kinda pinochet would be good.

Are you sure an Hitler won't be better?
Maybe Franco or Salazar would be better than Hitler, more likely tens of thousands of assassinations did by regim like pinochet did than tens of millions like hitler did.

Of course it was a sarcasm, your choice is BOTH typhoid and cancer, and maybe dark plague too.

"You don't agree with us, we kill you, your wife, your children, and your family, after some weeks of torture in our dark prisons. Hope you like our total absence of any freedom way to go...anyway, as you know, if you don't agree, you and everyone related to you will be massacred, have a nice day!"

[BIG sarcasm]Wow really the best kind indeed, I so wish to have not any right at all and bow before almighty power otherwise me and anyone related to me will be firstly arrested, secondly not judged, thirdly tortured to death for several week, then, to end it all, executed. Can't wait for that! Where is candidate representing, I'm soooo going to vote for him and do advertisement to his victory!?[/BIG sarcasm]

_Fasist is a person who wants a leader such as Mussolini or Franco to govern the country with an iron hand, autoritarism and which decides the politic by himself. Others listen and shut up. They try to enroll youngsters in ideology with holidays camp where they brainwash them with fascist ideology.
_A Leftist is not a term I'd use, rather what nationalists or right wing use to describe anyone who has lil bit of democratic opinion and wishes to have democracy instead of tyrrany, and who doesnt like strong and charismatic arrogant leader that takes all decisions with his circle of most fidels followers to dictate country. A leftist can be communist, socialist, social democrat, center neutral or republican moderate person.
_Nationalist is a person who believes his nation is best one, who would rather prefer whole world destroyed but his nation than the opposite. He doesnt give an heck of problems of other contries as long as they dont "dare" to annoy his country. They are often xenophobs and/or racists, as they don't like at all people from outside. They are for learning only their history and language, nothing else, and believe their country is superior to others. They believe they are a superior ethny/race, and others don't deserve to live in their country as they have "dirty blood".
_Dont care
_Of course, otherwise I wouldn't have arguments, just democrats rock rest beep period ect
_Augusto Pinochet was a dictator hired by CIA to counter strike Salvador Allende who was socialist president elected by population from Chile. Pinochet was the commandant of army forces and decided to take over the power and decimated the loyal presidential guards to Allende. He installed a dictatorship where any opposant is sent to jail, interrogated, tortured, then killed. Thousands of people disappeard under his dictatorship which lasted around 20 years. The putsch happend on september 11 if I'm right (yeah you recognize rhis date for something else...). Opposition parties were forbidden and reprimated by jail torture and death.
_Dont care

For last two ones will do it later, too much things to write, I'm off to do something else, will write it later.

Now time for you to learn history a bit from your "models"!
