Elections are one of few reasons I would wish to be american, I'll explain why.
Why? because I would be able to vote there, and such I could proudly can count me in the group of people who stopped the war machine wishing to destroy any muslim country (Iraq, soon Iran?, wondering who's next...probably Pakistan because they become more & more "hard to handle" since assassination of Benazir Bhutto and assaults on Pervez Musharraf's party supporters and other opposition parties, they could become an unstable menace...), by electing the side that represents the best the majority of people, from most poor classes to middle class, which I believe represent like 72-77% of US population.

If you know me, you would be sure of who I mean. I'm in favour of changement, equality and end to old white men holding in presidentship. Afterall, a president represents its country. So...as far as I know, US (or any other) country isn't for sure only composed by white men, I'm all in favour of a representing president, in other words, not necessarly white, but black, "latino", and not necessarly male.

My choice for democrats is maybe because I'm doing school in economy, so I'm fully aware of problems liberal economy causes. WAY TOO much random results it does.

Unfortunately the republican ticket lacks (in my view) any real standouts.
I like bits and pieces of each one, but none of them presents a whole - worse, I can't feel fully confident about any of the candidates claims, they each have one or two promises that past actions seem to contradict.

In short, at this point I feel like the GOP will be holding ground, rather than advancing. We may get a president that takes conservative action in some fields, but really lets us down in others.

Currently I'm still deciding between Huck, Mac, and Mic.
Again, if I could just combine bits and pieces... alas.

The USA currently has a budget deficit, and yes, that's mainly due to the Just War USA is fighting in countries that need to be taught some .. dare I say it .. civilisation. You heard right.. civilisation. It is prudent to learn from our past mistakes (letting colonies slip away into uncivilised anarchy and uneducated mismanagement), and teach countries wherever they are what it means to be civilised. If need be, at gunpoint (as it happens, this is part of our civilisation).
To get back to the issue at hand.. Democrats would sell out the country, create about 500 BILLION dollars in extra deficit, which would have to be filled in by the Taxpaying Population. Rather.. counterproductive, don't you think?

yeah, I live in the usa and am rooting for McCain. Fred Thompson would make a good VP but not president. I cant vote in the primaries though to find the electives for each party but i will be able to vote in the actual election as i will be 18 by then.
