Re: A lot of alliances disbanded, a lot of people left.
Or just change a starter account....?
Instead of starting so tiny and being all alone expecting to work your way up not knowing anything either;
1. Keep it unascended and increase the resources that a player starts with, these are just figures off the top of my head from what i've seen the majority of active players having now. But if we update it so a newbie starts with say 10mil AS, 5k turns and 1T naq already banked? Something like that... I mean compared to the main stream accounts it's tiny but it'll be just enough to give a player the start they need to keep them interested... for a while at least.
OR
2. Due to the fact that the majority of people are now highly ascended and LG's< are regarded as worthless how about we start the newbie accounts at the LG ascension level, scrap the first lot completely because that way people won't see ascending as such a big issues and think oh crap I have 22 odd ascensions to carry out to be noticed.
The reason I say this is because the thing that mainly keeps the majority of people interested is alliances and people to play with. What's the problem with active alliances?... Most have entry requirements that of which appear to be stupidily high to a newbie playyer. So they just think stuff this and leave because it's boring for them and they feel like they are getting no where. I mean how would you feel if you jsut created an account and you started at something like rank 76,000 when they start they arne't aware half of these ranks are inactive and they don't always come to the forum either.
Just my 2 cents

Same moan, same people here...
The fact that you can raid/farm for little to no cost now...nobody has an excuse for "catching" up...
I have farmed in the last few weeks probably more than my entire time in SGW...and I've been since 2005...
The game is just as good as it was 5 years ago...if anything better...
You are all so boring...

Adopt a Newbie. Each Player who wants to takes a newbie under there wing, and protects them and shows them the ropes for 3-6 months until that person knows what they are doing.
Have jason send a link in an e-mail/ Ingame PM to all new people to a specific place on the forum where they can find themselves a "protector" (The established players would have to adhere to a set of rules that could be made later, such as respectful conversation ability and so on) . Then we would get every major alliance ingame to agree that for the best interests of the game these new players should be dealt with impartially and so if they happen to hit the wrong person once or twice, or happen to lose there rag due to being so far behind and so on, there consequences would not be "quit game threatening" . For offering there services and to increase membership, the established players who are looking after the newbs would be given a yearly Gift, Such as an extra planet slot, or a lump sum of naq , or an extra MS tech level, the possibilities are pretty endless.
Now if you are all that concerned you will go about improveing that idea and implimenting it.
Problem Solved, we can all stop complaining and start solutioning!

Why does this thread even exist? Aren't you all aware that the GALACTIC COUNCIL (DU DUH DUH) is going to save the game?

I quit, I came back to game like a month ago. reasons i didnt stay.....
1) game is rubbish
2) you loose your covert when ascending.

Re: A lot of alliances disbanded, a lot of people left.
Boredome a problem?
Guess that depends on an induviduals POV.
If youre bored might I suggest changing something you do, before we change the game for you? For instance, if you`re a member of one of the bigger alliances/empires and are bored quit them. I guarantee you`ll instantly have a more active time lol.
If people at the top are bored they`re but victims of their success, have themselves to blame, and have plenty of options to spice it up for themselves (without massive destruction and game changes).
Last time those people wanted it both ways and went head to head SGW indeed had a period of unparareled "activity", but that was also the period that saw the biggest increase of departures from the game aswell. Goes to show one has to be careful what one wishes for lol.

Lets all go play "The SIMS".....
Anyway, the reason people interefering within this topic is that they seem to find this an interesting theme. For a part it is, cuz we are probably afraid to loose each other at some point. At least thats how I feel...loosing connection with the ppl I like.

I already lost contact with quite a few people independantly from my own actions, so I just feel now forums+msn are sufficient, I guess the longer you play this game the more are the chances you have to lose contact with people you like.
