Since we have now passed from "a few mods" to "all mods" I will withdraw my support and most decidedly frown at the proposal.

All mod's would be to much, even if this worked out perfect, all mod's would be to much as Admin still needs to have some control over this forum and should keep that right... but as I said one mod per section to try it, and as time goes if it does work great, if not then obviously scrap it, but all mod's would be ridiculous especially right off

Personally I don't think it should ever go beyond 1 mod per Section. Unless a Mod that was elected turns out great, and moves on (promoted, whatever). At any one time though, I don't think more than 1 Mod per Section or about 3 Mods should be appointed by voting. Preferably just 2 or 3. We don't usually take all that many by application anyways.

Balanced.. still too many, I would say, but it is better. I would propose 1 "For Admin", 1 "General" and 1 "Misc". (I know, I know, that is basically what you said.. *sends credit where it is due*)

The only way I can see this work, is to have an entrance program, with a few mods going into Market as a test run. Voting would have to have quite strict rules, and would need quite a few votes to do so, but I could see maybe 2-3 people getting into market, then if the admins think they are doing good, there would be promotions, if they do not work out they would get fired.

having extra rules depletes the point of being a User Elected Mod... Thats the point... not to have tons of rules not to be looked at any "differently" to be... very simply just a mod but he or she got in differently, putting "extra" on that person takes away the reason behind this...

Lots of rules for the election, they would have the same rights and rules as a mod, but getting there I think needs some specifics to dissuade popularity contests and only get those who really want to and deserve to be mods in to place.

The old race mods were voted in... but that system died a slow death due to the last elected round not doing the jobs they had been elected to do...

It might be worth looking into this, but controlling it to make it remotely fair and balanced would be difficult...

We do enjoy reading the times when constructive feedback is given... and we'd gladly accept any such feedback about our moderators... or for that matter, about the forum rules...

Feedback that merely says everything is horrible/perfect is not what we consider constructive... It serves no benefit, and will not really change anything...
Feedback offering suggestions and comments on specific parts on the other hand, that we like...
