Re: Mods Being Voted By Users (Thats right You)!

Since we have now passed from "a few mods" to "all mods" I will withdraw my support and most decidedly frown at the proposal.
These are the forums for the GateWa.rs family of text-based space-centred PBBGs

Personally I don't think it should ever go beyond 1 mod per Section. Unless a Mod that was elected turns out great, and moves on (promoted, whatever). At any one time though, I don't think more than 1 Mod per Section or about 3 Mods should be appointed by voting. Preferably just 2 or 3. We don't usually take all that many by application anyways.RoKeT wrote:All mod's would be to much, even if this worked out perfect, all mod's would be to much as Admin still needs to have some control over this forum and should keep that right... but as I said one mod per section to try it, and as time goes if it does work great, if not then obviously scrap it, but all mod's would be ridiculous especially right off
Balanced.. still too many, I would say, but it is better. I would propose 1 "For Admin", 1 "General" and 1 "Misc". (I know, I know, that is basically what you said.. *sends credit where it is due*)E.M.P. wrote:Personally I don't think it should ever go beyond 1 mod per Section. Voting would have to have quite strict rules, and would need quite a few votes to do so, but I could see maybe 2-3 people getting into market, then if the admins think they are doing good, there would be promotions, if they do not work out they would get fired.

having extra rules depletes the point of being a User Elected Mod... Thats the point... not to have tons of rules not to be looked at any "differently" to be... very simply just a mod but he or she got in differently, putting "extra" on that person takes away the reason behind this...
