perhaps. but I am only talking about keeping one of my farms in line. I'm not stupid enough to talk (or even think) about trying to smack down somebody really strong.

since ascension might be the next server where update is coming for, it might be valide to revive this topic!

As soon players can trade with each other the game will be screwed over there!

There is a way to ahndle each problem without having a market:
Its really simple: If you run out of turns - dont attack
IF you dont have any DMU - farm, increase TIP or save
IF you need more planets - increase xplore or raid
IF you need PPT - get lost you are not worth being here!

but we want more AT... i mean the fun thing is to attack and raid.. not wait 5 weeks to get a decent AT bank.. and then raid of and build up and then wait another 5 weeks.. thats killing us newly ascended.. and i "think" the ones that doesnt want the trade.. thats cause they know they will become targets instead of sitting safe high up :)

this way it is now the first to ascend will have more help from ascending early then the poor bastard who started playing just a few months ago.. and now have reached the ascended server.. and guess what its really slow to get anywhere... guess thats why theres so many dead accounts that nobody want to play ascended as you cant do **Filtered** about those big fishes... they can slap you over as much they want and you know you can only hide everything worth stealing and can never get to the top cause ether way you need to raid alot and for that you need alot of attackturns..

well my 2 cents.. bring in the market... :)

Noo, you don't need a whole Cosmic Market to increase the action up there. A simple increase in the number of Attack Turns per turn (pfft, feels wrong saying that) would make the more active players lives more lively (note to self, use a wider variety of words, and fewer pointless bracketed comments), for that would still be bound by the Attack Turn cap and would still take a measure of time (while a Market would allow "right, used 2000 turns, I'll just instantly get another 2000" moves).

I can see a few uses to the small size on the Attack Turn limit though - for one thing, it will put an instant hold on people Descending huge numbers of people all the time. Cosmic Trade would certainly have an impact there too.


Currently the total "solo" nature of Ascension is what keeps it unique and refreshing. Adding a Market would just make it that much closer to Main. I would far prefer seeing some fine tuning and then additional attack and action types brought in. Expanded roles for Command Stars spring to mind.

hmmmm, more AT per half hour.... maybe 2 instead of 1? I would love that. some of my farms are starting to put out more lately, and I only have enough AT for the one. I'd love to be able to grab two or three of them at the same time.

The Dalek Empire has a fantastically good point. I agree with you in every way. I like the "right, I've gotta think ahead"-part of ascension, not the hastiness of main, where, as you say, you can instantly go and get - no, not another 2k turns, but another 20k turns! Oh, refresh me! Please! I just went on a little spree yesterday and raided a good lot of units. Was fun. It's all about saving saving saving :)

what about makeing it more intresting for the active players.. lets say we lower the cap how many turns you can store to like 1000turns and then you get 2 or 3 turns per tick..

i guess the limit is 4000turns like in main but im not sure i tend not to store them long enought to know.. ;)


if you have a low cap and a high regrowth it sure would get intresting..

like its now its way to safe.. :)

The cap it 2000 Turns. Much lower than that and a proper Ascended war starts to look unlikely to happen, ever. Especially since everything uses the same flavour of Turns up there.

im sorry i have read that 4 times now and im not sure what you mean.


you mean the cap is 2000turns and if its lower then that it will kill the ascended game?

i mean if people dont want the trade, but we gotta get more turns cause like it is now its really slow..

but im sure if we all just discuss this we can get some way of getting it to atleast get alittle better then it is now.

ok, heres my 3 cents(cause im richer :D )
maby just increace the turns per turn to 3 AND (this one'll stun you) decreace the turn time to 20-25 min
what do ya'll say about that?

That should read "The cap is 2000 Turns", silly keyboard.

I'll go through it bit by bit.

1) A player can have a maximum of 2000 Turns.

2) 2000 Turns a good number - if it were 1000 then it would not be possible to save up enough for any sort of massing/raiding spree. If it were 3000, 4000 etc then people can afford to sit there and let them build. When they stop getting Turns at 2000, it makes them want to use some Turns, because they are denying themselves resources. It also puts a slight power cap on massing/raiding sprees, which is probably not a bad idea.

3) Faster Turn generation would be useful because Covert and Attack turns (in Main) have become the same thing in Ascension. It costs 2 Turns to Recon, 5 to God Quest and so on, making any sort of action fairly costly to your Turn pool.

Three turns might be a bit too fast (if such a thing is possible). 25 minute turns... well it could work, but I for one like to know when to log on (roughly) by looking at a clock.

Of course, the best way would be to do a 2 week trial for such updates, at the end of which players can vote to either keep the update or to axe it and roll the server back 2 weeks.
