You can easily dislodge someone from the top 100 if you outproduce them every turn. As long as they can't touch you, you'll overtake them in no time.
As many topics have regularly pointed out the game was never really about attack, it was about abusing SS and PPT.

11M of wear? It's the same damage as when I AM fired upon, so it's not just the wear and tear or it would be much less.
Say I have 2 tanks, 1 of them I'll just keep firing all day, the other will be firing and be fired upon. Which one will be more damaged at the end of the day? Apparently, there's no difference.
Is this the damage you take for a successful attack against you? I don't have that many weapons in Quantum and yet when the opponent only does 3 damage (the minimum) it can often cost 1Mil to repair my weapons anyway, how's this is much different since it's pretty clear that the damage is wear and tear.

Only those with 300M+ defense will use this tactic anymore now. And attacking those is even more costly. It would end up being 45 turns, 25M repair costs, 30M gains. It's not doable.
Remember that the troop losses is dependant on the relative strengths of your armies, so if you are considerably stronger then you will lose very few troops even if your army is bigger. And last I checked 15% meant less than a 1 in 6 chance of hitting the hologram, so probability is in favour (85:15 or simplified down 17:3, meaning better than 5:1 odds of getting through) of you attacking successfully with the one 15turn attack.

If the first one was a hologram, I'd look around for the real thing and make a firm note of it's location. But that's just me being stupid I guess.
Maybe there are many holograms all appearing at once so you only know they're fake after attacking them.
