I think it would be a good extension to the game, I mean why not?
Keep uu unkillable, remove ALL use of $$ (lets PLAY IT, not BUY it...).


Have new races..Have the originals ones. But I suggest, you change their bonuses. Goauld should have an all-round bonus, like 5% on each stat. Tauri should have covert, as they are small in number and more covert like. Replicators should have strike, to represent their continued attack on other races for tech and building materials. Asgard should have stronger weapons and cheaper upgrades (like far superior discounts and strengths compared to other races, basically maiking weapons for them cheaper.) But they should suffer on UP, but their soldiers should be harder to kill. (To represent both their dying race and the ability to clone..) The have the Tok'ra with a purely defensive bonus. Then I think you should have the wraith (why not? Have some fun!) slap them up with the income bonus to show their reliance on slaves and ability to grow their ships etc...

Finally maybe a followers of the Ori race..with a mothership and defense bonus.

Then A new angle on planets. Why not have a new system, TONS of planets (I MEAN TONS!!)...but planets HOLD you uu. So they dont give you +covert, strike, defense, UP or income, instead they are needed to hold your untrained units. Basically, if you lose a planet then, you LOSE a hell of a big thing! Maybe give each planet a 1mill uu capacity. WIth a chance to upgrade it. (The obvious disadvantage of this being the fact that of you upgrade the planet to hold 10mill uu, and you lose that planet..well...WOOPS!)

How do you lose planets? Well you have a power and reputation score. (like war score now) Except losses count as negative. The higher the score the more likely you are to conquer the planet and convert the occupants to your cause.

Ie. Lets say, game just begun, Person A has 5 planets, 1mill uu on each. Person B has 3 planets, a mill uu on each. Person B has just successfully massed another person in the opening hours and has 150mill war score. Person A has just been farming, has won most, giving him a total 170mill, but has failed on some and lost some men, so ends up with a total of 140mill war score. Person B attacks A, and has a 10mill lead, which is a 15% bonus. This is then put into some code, I cannot begin to imagine, that so when Person B attacks A and destroys A's defense (so masses it away) Person B has a 15% chance to convert one of person A's planets to his realm, because he, like a goauld has conquered, OR as a tauri/asgard has freed and now protects, or as an replicator has exterminated and consumed all natural resources to produce new replicators.

This planet idea would need to be fine tuned but I think that would be a better use for planets.

I also think you should be able to have a more personalised commander for your realm. It is these commanders that can ascend, but only by being good. Like it should be. But give a bad commander a chance to steal the knowledge. Ultimately Ascention should remain, but be a hell of a lot harder for everyone, and not based on ranks. Though im not sure on what it could be based on otherwise.

So overall, a second main server, with some new sexy/shiny upgrades would be amazing. Even better if their was no possible use of $$ (SS is bought solely with ingame resources, the ONE and ONLY use for the market in the new main.)

It would make people play, and everyone would have a chance to get at anyone, it would truly be a game, rather then just what main is now.

my suggestion would be start another server, no resets, and have it just like main was when it first came out. now befoe i continue id like to say, im not dissing admin by saying he should do this, i am happy with sgw even if im never gonna get a chance to become a huge account.


with that said, i think a sgw game that was just like when sgw came out would be really fun, growth wouldnt be insanely big, wars would be extremely fun again, and alot more devistating. the only thing id change would be there would be 5 races, Tauri, gouald, and asgard would all have the same bonuses. replis would be swithed to a 10% RAW UP bonus (maybe a little less) and the tokra would get the 25% spy bonus as they hide underground and always have spys within the gouald (makes a little more sense than having the replis have a spy bonus) i think having a server like tht would be great.


any comments or suggestions would be apreciated, thanks guys

I'd probably play it...BUT only if there wouldn't be raid, every other thing should stay as it is, but the only way you could grow should be via UU buying or UP...no other ways...

Indeed, raiding is a horrible idea. That said, its too late for main with regards to raiding.


That said, growing via buying UU should also not be possible, you should grow yourself, not have another account grow you.


The problem with raiding is that, sure, it does give u much better chance to catch up with other people, but for it you must have a lot of time which some of us don't have/use for a game...

Indeed, raiding is a horrible idea. That said, its too late for main with regards to raiding.

I would say that about ascension server with regards to new players trying to get started up there.

Remove;

-Raiding
-Planets
-Lifers
-Get rid of the Bottom Less Pit of Resources market. Market starts off with some resources, then only receives/loses what is traded*

I don't really like the Killable UU idea, with no raiding and no mass AT's(1 AT per turn, Market*), I don't see why UU should be killable. I think it should be either No raiding and the Market* thing or Killable UU with raiding. We don't want to make it utterly impossible to do things.

I think if they made this change in main, it would change the face of the game as raiding would not be as easy with limited turns and resoucres available from the market.

The free market and raiding adds a great economic side to the game.

And 1 AT per turn instead of the 3 we're getting now. Some of the ideas posted are a little extreme I think.

UU should be killable
Attack Soldiers should be killable (you attacking)
Defense Soldiers should be killable
Spies should be killable
Spy Killer should be killable

Make it to where you could devastate someone's account. I mean it would take a lot to do it, but hey. You got them good. Not to mention your account wouldn't be looking extremely pretty. But hey, you killed them, and did yourself proud

Its cus u hate raiding ... its called kidnapping people from people that are to lazzy to train them...

besides if a "non-raid server" and all that stuff comes out what to do with the in-active pointless accounts ? Just watch them OoOoO koodies look how much UU he has out I want it lmao ...

i already asked for this and got very few responses. i don't understand these boards, i have seen it time and time again...

raiding is and still remains one of the worst updates admin ever introduced to SGW and its people that go "OoOoO koodies look how much UU he has out I want it" that are to blame for raiding being introduced!

solution, you shouldn't be able to spy untrained units!!!

alotta ppl dont spy on accounts to see if they have untrain units, they 1 hit them and if they get a certain amount theyll figure they have enough out worth raiding and raid them

Main is big enough, and complex enough for all of us. There is no point in playing another non-reset server.

Plus, even if you did want to, there are plenty of other similar browser based MMORPGs out there without the need for another SGW server.
