Myseri wrote:chargin, I beg to differ with you. Commonly, a noob or n00b, is usually describing someone being an idiot or a fool. The definition you are giving it is the common definition of a "newb". A newb is some one new to a game, not knowing all the basics and strategies.
Chargin wrote:or is somebody who has played the game for a long time and think they know how to play it yet don't.
A noob can mean either so i gave the definition of both things it can mean.
Myseri wrote:vinny d does not qualify as a "noob" as he is no fool as he showed you up in this thread and all you can do is try and insult him. He is also not a "newb" as he has been around a fair time, possibly as long as I have been.
He has not showed me up in this thread and he is the one that has resorted to name calling.
Myseri wrote:You comment on their planets not being properly defended when yours are in the same boat. A 45 bill defense is nothing anymore on a planet. And with them being a "decent" boost, and above average size. What is not to deter planet thiefs from taking yours.
The planet defense are properly defended for the boost they give, for them all to be taken out it would take a coordinated strike from at least 1 powerful player and several decent ones. Which i could easily strike back. I deter planet thieves, i do not need to rely on alliance members to protect my planets, if you cared to search my forum posts or ask around a little i'm sure u'd figure out who i am in ascended.
Myseri wrote:Lets continue on about you chargin. How about a 311 bill defense? You think that is enough to completely deter naq hunters from your realm? I don't think so. If you have a fair amount of naquadah out and it is worth going through that defense, then they will still take it from you.
I haven't been hit in the last 10 days (except for 1 repel) i think my defence is high enough. I tend not to leave a "fair amount" of naq out.
Myseri wrote:So in your terms, if vinny d is a "noob" due to your standards, then you to are the same type of "noob".

Many of the people in this thread are perfectly capable of reading. I mean I even read your WHOLE post, more then just the first few sentences and I still don't see a point.
Here is something that sums up people's attitude to reading the thread.

This is one example, these are in order:
Chargin”]something else i said which none of you picked up on, i said it might take me a week...and i said how much i wanted a day, i'm sure you can do the math....on second thoughts, 1mil uu*7=7mil uu

2 mill UU an hour is unreasonable.

So you want 2 mill UU to do what the new player forum already does for free? Good luck with that, lol.
[quote="Myseri wrote:Yes you are offering to make a detailed guide to StarGateWars. But why do you think you should get paid to do so? If you type it at a decent rate of say 75 words per minute, it still should take you probably about a whole week to type out the guide. When ascension was new, I typed out a 7 page guide to each of the features in one night. Did I ask for compensation? No!
I don’t care what you did, it’ll take me longer then 1 night.
Myseri wrote:You are basically asking for people to give you UU so that you don't have to get it yourself. What is to stop you from not posting your guide even if people gave you UU? Nothing really, all it is is a promise... and a promise online is not worth much.
Speak for yourself. I do what I say I’m going to do.

Myseri wrote:Another note: Stop saying you can/give others advice because they don't seem to be as fortunate as you. Your strategy is just one of the many that work out well in this game. Though you shouldn't say other's accounts are destroyable when yours is close to the same.
Just because people’s accounts are bigger or smaller then mine doesn’t mean I can’t give them advice. My account is very destroyable but I don’t give people a reason to do it.
Myseri wrote:I mean those 45 bill defenses on those planets are much, and if they disappeared... Wow that would put you down to 150k UP. Thats about 90k which you get from officers isn't it? You have about 2 million units that are practically destroyable. 1.2 mill of those are your defense supers so you can't untrain them. You 820k spies are untrainable but then you are completely open for sabotage if you reduce them much. I mean only have 88 bill covert with your 820k spies is kinda small. I mean really, I could sab you with 300k, which makes me lose only 60k... and if you reduced your spies any, oh merry me it would be just too easy to sab you.
But I am guessing you only have level 25 covert because you are ascending quickly and don't want those ascensions to cost too much.... I mean it doesn't cost too much to ascend past incarnate with a 60k UP. But that is what you have those 40 million miners "temporarily" trained for right? So at the last moment you can untrain them, broker them to another person and ascend with the bare minimums...
Your strategy in my opinion seems common run of the mill variety
. Yep down to 150k UP from production, that’s 1.5mil left from raiding and cross server deals for 1.65mil uu a day. 2 million units is a day set back, that’d be a pain yes but I don’t mind the risk. Good guess I was ascending quickly, I might actually go in g and r now because im thinking of going to war with somebody that broke a large deal with me. My strategy in main is pretty common run of the mill because there is very little strategy involved in main, doesn’t stop me from writing a guide or giving people information to improve their strategies or other advice other general advice on how to play.
