Currently the capital is Raleigh, but we held an popular vote right after I was elected into office to decide if Raleigh would stay the capital. The vote came out no, it was then decided to build a completely new, modern capital 45 miles to the east centered around a 1km high tower based on Japan's Sky City design to be built over a period of 15 years as to lessen the impact of the sudden void of building materials. The land for it to be built has been surveyed and cleared. Once this war with Britain is over, construction will begin if the people still wants to have it built.

But until then, Raleigh is the Capital of the Republic of North Carolina.

Citizens of America, I have unfortunate news for you. It appears Raleigh is no more.

I recently learned that a Canadian raid made it as far as the North Carolinian captial through New England and the territory south of it. Apparently, two carrier groups could not detect the. Once in Raleigh, I am told there was a fierce battle over the nukes. Canadian forces appeared to withdraw, but it is believed they reentered the nuclear facility and conquered it to the point that its guards detonated the warheads before allowing the foreigners to take them. The administration of the RNC is believed to be annhilated, so the commanding USA officer has taken command of the RNC forces and consolidated them to prevent further Canadian inscursions. Ground units have been deployed to New England, naval forces are to liberate Nova Scotia to assure the Canandians understand the gains of joining the USA and prevent future incursions or British interference.

As it is, members of the 101st have secured all tactical armaments to prevent future raids and the USA military available and not massed on the Canadian border has moved to protect North Carolina and Virginia from future carnage. Aid agencies are attempting to do what they can for the survivors of this horrible attack.

On another note, B2 bombers recently returned home after reportedly scouting the Canadian border. It is unfortunate they could not locate the raiders before this catastrophe.

as we speak, we offer safe haven for any Australian citizens past or present inside the UK while the situation develops further. military escorted transports are inbound now, if they are not received safely, this will be seen as an act of war.

also, we offer our support to the allied forces involved in this recent incident in canada. our prayers and thoughts are with the families of those lost. as such, Australian Naval forces have secured a blockade position, preventing english supplies etc from leaving or entering the UK.

Australia's protection of its citizens is honorable and its support gladly accepted. As it is, I am placing the former Republic of North Carolina under provincial control of the USA to prevent red tape from hindering any efforts in defense and aid.

Also, New England is now a protectorate of the USA. Any territorial infringements will be considered an act of war.

a small UK naval vessel fleet was detected 18000 kilometers west of Perth, Western Australia. we do not know their intention as yet, though we have them under tight surveilance and will receive them, if engaged we will not hesitate to open fire.

People of the Republic of North Carolina, fear not! Due to my absence to personally greet the leaders of the Australian Republic, I and several other government members was able to survive the attack. Due to the swift response of the USA, the Canadian dogs were removed from our nation. For that, I thank the USA. While we recover from this attack, please cooperate with all USA & NC troops as we clean up our nation.

While it is a sad day, we must move on. I have issued orders to our armed forces to work with the USA troops in pushing back the Canadians. I have also order that 1 Trident SLBM be launched at Ottawa for destroying our capital. Elections shall be held in 7 days to elect new members to government positions to replace those we have lost.

Until we can find a more suitable place, the Capital shall be moved to the first capital of North Carolina, the historic City of New Bern* near the largest Marine base on the east coast, Cherry Point MCAS and its defensives.

I have recently begun negoations with several countries to unify against further British expansion attempts. These countries include Russia, Germany, Brazil, India, & Japan. Their nations leaders have agreed to meet here in North Carolina.
