lol. loved that.
On another note the newest episode was not half bad, i enjoyed it more than the last few and it set up the next weeks finale nicely. Also its a double episode next week.

good that it is double, bad that it is finale... we want more... But it is indeed a nice setup for the end.

that point is one of several classic points they could pick from. It is not something they were trying to hide.

I enjoyed the finale alot. For me the it the show turned itself around and got good. I was going to stop watching after a few episodes but decided to give it a second chance and im glad. I hope it gets a second season.
Also
So what is everyones view on the reveal at the end(the part of the 18th century ship). I have two guesses. There is another portal in the bermuda triangle, or they are actually in the future. Im thinking its the bermuda triangle, it would explain why the Phoenix Group left instantly, they could be going to check it out. that would also raise another question as to who built the second portal.
anyway all in all i enjoyed the season, may not be the best thing on tv, but it sure beats a load of the other crap thats on now(falling skies anyone?)

I havnt seen the finale yet.. BUT now that I think about it.. this sixer arc is a great way to start the terra nova world.. perhaps they can add some aliens in for the next 2 seasons and then trying to get a society going for season 4. finally the return to the normal time..
- add some screwed up time travel in there.
- add some new characters, perhaps an alien who helps them fight the aliens..
now, the more and more I think about this... I keep thinking it can be as stargate atlantis was!

It was a good ending to what's been a poor TV show to start with that got better near the end....The few things i don't understand though is why they wanted to mine what ever it was near terra nova base camp....why not move to another part of the land i.e 20,000 mile away and mine the stuff from there and ship it over to the portal...that way the camp could have kept on growing and they would have had two way transport back to 21whatever...that would have kept everyone happy...it seems to me that the whole of the people who "lived there" had forgot about how rubbish their time period was and the fact that they blew up the time portal on the other end proves they only care about themselfs and not thought about poor Bob and Margaret who had just won the lotto and was about to travel back to spend their retirement in the past looking at dinosaurs and breathing fresh air
![[043.gif] :smt043](./images/smilies/043.gif)
(i know this did not happen) .
Also what happened to air transport had they forgot that helicopters/planes and other flying machines would be alot safer to use to explore then walking around a jungle with a stun gun when they is dinosaurs around.
I don't think this show will get picked up for another season but you never know...hopefully it will and they keep the action up like in the last epiosde (except for the copout of the 3 days he was knocked out and the lack of action that would have looked cool on screen).
My brother watched it with me and said at the end it would be cool if they go North and get to the sea and see a island appear and on the other side is Hurley and Ben from Lost waving at them

I think the idea of starting fresh and not repeating past mistakes included not using fossil fuel, not sure what power source they do use to charge up the vehicles 'power cells' but guessing those power cells are not strong enough to get a helicopter off the ground. I suppose they could/should have UAVs though for mapping and exploring etc.
I think the reason for not strip mining from the start is that the 'old world' ( in the future lol ) is dying anyway and ruining the 'new world' ( in the past or alternate timeline ) would only extend the life of the old world, not fix or save it.
Have to say I like this show a lot but I thought they crammed far to much into too short a space of time and over simplified to much. The story in the finally would have been better if stretched out to several episodes, in fact the whole series could have been twice as long to tell the story properly and in more detail.
As for where it's going.....
The shipwreck indicated that there is or was another time-rip portal thing ( Im thinking Bermuda Triangle link lol ), the reason the Sixers and Mercs headed for the site up north where the shipwreck was found is obviously to find another way this second portal, get more backup/supplies and a new way back to the future. I guess the big question is will it be the same future ? If these are portals to alternative timelines it could be another alternative future.

could be that they are really in the future, and the hope center was really in the past.......like they said in Star Trek "all these time loops, they make my head spin...
