ok i read it all im not lazy

its looks liek youve put soem real effort and thoguht into this idea.

first of all ...

Technology
- the bonuses for these will have to be very minor or allow ascended beings to gain from this aswell.
-If you think the game is unbalanced from ascended beings power , you are wrong, and everyone should ascend its a good thing to do,
-If you ascend you sohuld loose the techs because you loose everything else, expect some miners who see YOU their king walkign through the mines naked after ascending and clothe you and swear there alleigance once again to you. You offer them the chance to come up to the palace and serve under you as royal gaurd but alas they are miners , mienrs for life , they are magically imbuned to the mines.
-You cant exclide ascended beings just because there technology is better .

-ascended+tauri - Multi phasic machine rifles
-ascended+asgard - Enlightend Oneil
-ascended+replicator - Blessed Human-Form Replicators
-ascended+goauld - Anubis Super Soldiers

im not gonna sit here and make names but the point is why disclude ascend beings they could use coverted tools as much as the rest of us, you see an ascended shell is nothign special and the only advantage it has over mere mortals is a slight power over them . They start off with nothign they sohuld be able to use techs to upgrade them selves. Also im sure tauri's asgards e.t.c would implement soem ascended tech if they happend to find some layign around xD

is a great idea although it is a BIG change with many drawbacks to brinign it out, maybe a new reality would be suitable or maybe forumn could try it out on q next era , [/i]

*nods in agreement...* maybe a cap of 6% for techs, as once you count in the 5% UP and income bonus, ascendees get, I think it would be worth it... not to mention the whole ascension server opening up is a reason to ascend on its own (depending on the person, but essentially thats what ascension is SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT)

Besides... You almost contradicted yourself... "And everyone should ascend, its a good thing to do," If its a good thing to do then it makes you more powerful, right?

And if you're more powerful than its easier to get more money from attacking people.

And from getting that money from people lower in power than you you deprive them on money, right?

And as their deprived of money they also have to spend money on repairs, right?

So you just deprived them of power, right?

Here's the question: Could you have won the battle if you hadn't ascended? Ever, I mean... Making that 30% bonus from six ascensions quite potent... And with every attack you are slowing down the non-ascendee or "haven't-ascended-as-many-times"ee from ascending, or gaining more power...

You see the problem? Whether or not you think it is small can be argued, but stating yourself the creator of the problem right after saying there is no problem is stupid!

Well... maybe not as many options? Because, if a country like britain, canada, america, germany, france, australia, all those countries with very modern technology (ooh, japan is definately in there... and lots more) went "back in time" (aka to an older culture) and tried to scavenge for old technology... They would only find very, very little. Maybe some, yes, but hardly anything of value. Compare the ori satelite weaponry to the Death Glider's weaponry... its laughable, why would the Ori want that? The only thing they could salvage would maybe be a single component in the staff-weapon type energy weapons. Similar to taking apart old computer chips for something to salvage a single transistor needed for a more complicated something you are working on.

Now, as for your tech ideas...

Level 1 (1% bonus?)
ascended + ascended (of other type)
ascended + replicator + asgard
ascended + replicator + tauri
ascended + replicator + goa'uld
ascended + asgard + tauri
ascended + asgard + goa'uld

Level 2 (2% bonus?)
ascended + ascended + ascended
ascended + replicator + asgard + tauri
ascended + replicator + asgard + goa'uld
ascended + replicator + asgard + ascended

Level 3 (3% bonus?)
ascended + ascended + ascended + ascended
ascended + replicator + asgard + tauri + goa'uld + ascended

Each level should be worth half of the non-ascendee's tech of that level... At these marks, techs can provide up to a 6% bonus normally, and ascending can provide up to an 8% bonus the first time, more each time (but only because of the 5%, not because the tech bonusses rise).

Unlike unascended techs, these can really be any order, making ascended + tauri + asgard the same thing as ascended + asgard + tauri, which is why they didn't both appear on the list.

Replicators and Asgards are the most advanced of the non-ascended races, therefore making them required to raid for techs if you want any kind of technological improvement.

I didn't choose names because honestly I don't care... This is merely an offered compromise, and I'm not going to waste my time making names for something I
A. Don't support
B. Don't care about
C. Won't use any time soon.

People like you, ragnarok, who are blindly denying the huge powerboost of ascension to justify their own power as being obtained more or less fairly, can choose the names...

i personally dont like the idea of giving Asncened shell accounts tech.....

......but heres a better idea u no ascneded blessing is a bonus u get from ur ascneded account....well the technology u get from main should ONLY be applied to the ascneded account in the ascneded server.

ok so were saying that the techs will never give more then the acended bounus right, so it will never give more than 5% cause thats all the acended get

Unless the ascended get the bonus... If so, we need a higher bonus to compete!

As for the bonus being in their ascended server account, that is a GREAT way of preventing the problem of further ascended domination.

Like I said, though, we might work the compromise that ascendees get 1/2 the tech bonus (although 1/1000th would be more accurate actually) as a compensation.

The only problem I see with this is that the players that have just recently ascended will have no choice but accept the drawbacks of that ascension.

Alright.. why do people whine about the ascended's power so much. It's really expensive to do so we should get some kind of reward for it, and the reward is quite good. The bonuses are well known to everyone, as well as the costs. If you choose to not ascend DON'T whine about being weaker. Also, for the record.. ascendeds don't get a UP bonus.

beter yet how about you guys acept the drawbacks of not getting a bounus withouht acending. wait not much of a draw back, if you compare the two

you do acend and you become less powerfull after giving up all spylevels up and some uu and naq.

yah clearly this will make things fair

I do think the game needs more technology perhaps only for unascended players.. but it should not even come close to the ascended's power. This is not selfish or anything, but if you aren't willing to pay the price, you shouldn't get the power.

I know you didn't but I'm just saying that. I really like this idea actually, almost makes me wish I didnt ascend lol.

and costs are not well known to a player newly getting the option to ascend, and if its so horrible with reseting then why do you do it, and why do you say the reward is quite good?

Honestly, there comes a point where it really becomes denial.

Still, a 5% income bonus over several months is better than a 5% attack bonus for several months, and there is no denying that.

And what is the main point of ascending anyway? THE ASCENSION SERVER!!! Whether or not its a reward to everyone does not change the fact that that is what ascending is made to do... whether you are improving your stats or not doesn't change the fact that that is a SECONDARY reward!

ok since when did making a choice made u weak?

Anyway back on topic

First ascnesion is by far better than the tech bonus i made sure my idea is like that. First when u asncend u get 5% to everything....(Naq per turn,covert,offence,defence) and u get newer weps whihc is more cost effiecient and better than the on acneded weps.


as for technology U have to reveal it and u can only reveal it one at a time and also once reveal u have to pay reseach points for it, and that it only to one particluar type of tech(covert,defence,offense)

So in a way ascnesion is 3x faster of getting bonuses than tech

Not to mention you have to ascend once to ascend again, and once you ascend again you get a 10% bonus, which is even better!

Title Names

Lv1 is you base upgrades,(mercenary tech,defense,offense,race unique etc) techs

Lv5 is once u have all your Level 4 base there is a option to further increase that tech even higher but this reuires huge amounts of tech points for each upgrade. once u have increase each catogory(covert,def,off) u will get this tilte.

Title Names

Lv1. Technician
Lv2. Technician of Arrival
Lv3. Engineer of War
Lv4. Master of Comprehension
Lv5. GrandMaster of Philosophy




i dont know if u read this but i made title names for each tech lv u achiece just like how ascnesuin get names we should too lol
