aoki and kimura both have some good fights too, and later on theres a new kid that signs up to the gym. he's pretty good as well.
so the manga's not just focused on ippo, its more like komogawa gym is the star.

im not gunna do anything about this but it sounds exactly the same as KENICHI
an anime where a guy is bullied and he learns multiple martial arts... then i think hte writers wouldnt let go so they changed the anime for the worst...

the series is primarily manga
there was/is an anime series 76 episodes long
with 2 spin-off films/OVA's
i'm currently at ep 54 in the anime
