Yes, you can get a mothership, if you have ss, for less than 7k uu. Its a bargain right now compared to how it used to be.

I got my mothership easily. All I did was sell my turns for 900 mil in naq and spent it on my mothership and upgrading it.

well the best way and to get one is to keep upgrading your unit production so that way you get more units. then after a while till you have say about 15,000 UU go to the market and trade them in for the supporter status (if you don't already have it). then save up some more UU and then trade in the ammount you need to get the naq you need to get a mothership. you'll also have extra naq to start upgrading your mothership.

thats what i did..mother ships are so awesome..they double your atck if you work on them..like mine is about even with my offensive action..and defense is the same..and they really are pretty cheap..its working on them that gets expensive..

Which is one of the many reasons I don't attack anymore or try to make alot of money because if I ever get attacked, my already pretty small mothership gets demolished.

It took me a grand total of 3 weeks to get the mothership. I will tell you how. 
I bought 2,000 X-302s and 2,000 Ion Cannons, then sold 1,700 of each, giving me sumething like 457,000,000 naq!
My mothership action is now ranked like 1,500! Kool to have a mothership m8!

iv had my mother ship since it was frist introduced i never sold any weapons and i didnt use the market i just attacked for the naq to buy it my mother ship hits for around 1 bill

I had a mothership within 2 weeks, and I've only been playing a little more than 2 wekks, a friend of mine sent me like 470mil naq, so i bought a MS, and upgraded it, right now my mothership doubles my def, and adds like 2/3rds to my attack.
