american football isnt even really a sport. its more of a local custom. not exactly a world wide activity eh.

even if it was world wide it wouldnt be sport. it would be adverts with a little sport sprinkled on top.

an example of commercial interests having too much impact on a national past time? yes

This here is a perfect example of someone not knowing AT ALL, what they are talking about. First of all, American Football is played all over the world... Not on the level that soccer is, however its still out there and is still a sport.

Once again i have to bring up the fact American football isnt even played with the foot, well very little.
I have played American football, i play real football (soccer if you americans wanna call it that) every saturday, and now have just taken up playing rugby the past couple of weeks, by far soccer takes the most skill, hands down, theres not much to american football, once your fit and can catch a ball your sorted. Rugby is far more physical, although American football is very tactical. The fitness level is unreal in Rugby and soccer if you want to play week in, week out.
Out of all this, the only sport i get injured at is soccer (tore knee ligaments :( ), probably the most injury pron sport out of the 3 as many of my mates have found out ](*,)
I forgot what this topis was about again

Well, if your playing on an amateur level then yes... All you need is to be fit and be able to catch the ball, however at the pro and even semi-pro level there is s much more involved then that. There is so much more that goes into the simplest of things such as running your routes or the type of blocking scheme that your running. If you've never played on a real team then your will probably have no idea the mental aspect thats applied not only to the teams play, but to the play by play actions of the individual players. While I enjoy playing from time to time with friends, its nothing at all like playing on a real time... While I believe that soccer requires the most stamina to play, I believe that football is the most physically grueling.
