Definately good points, no doubt.

I have seen a friend ascend (I was there) although I only saw a little of the ascension server and same goes for its requirements.

And there is no doubt that losing all your spy levels, trained guys, weps, techs, UP, and miners, will have an extreme effect upon the ascending player.

Still, whether or not it is an ascension-created gap, there is a gap, and maybe some day there won't be players with 100x the highest power I thought possible.

I am persuaded to your side, though, as to whether or not ascendeds should get the ability for techs. However, I remain firm on the idea that the highest bonus unascendeds can get is 6%, and 3% for ascendeds.

You will still have a bonus. Consider it a compromise. :D

actually, I dont care if the ascendeds get a bonus or not. The bonus for ascendeds is already quite good, although I'm not complaining about more . The point I was trying to make was that being a living god does not automatically make you a super power in the game. The players you are referring to with 100x the highest power you thought possible have been playing for a very long time and were very powerful before ascension was even released. I'm glad you finally realize this.

No, I think this idea is well thought out, but the complex nature of the idea itself renders it to much speculation...

Some people are going to see this as a great new addition to the game.
An some, like myself think the game is complex enough as it is. If you haven't been paying attention SGC. Most of the vets of this game left or stoped playing as much because of the new updates. If you update the game with this new feature I'm sure we'll have newbs and vets alike quiting this game.

Now then, not to completely discredit your admirable effort to sell this idea of your's. I think that if this was simply all turned into a 'salvage bonus' which we could all choose to invest in. Which, after collection of a certain amount of salvaged parts from certain successful race attacks and defends. You would be able to construct 'speacial anti-tech' which basically uses a race's tech against them or something to that extent.

I'm not saying you should use my idea with yours, this is just a short exerp from your idea simplified into a 'bonus' which people can choose to invest in at some point in the future.

About the alliance features, making the main server similar or like the other servers takes away from the people who pride themselves on being on the main server. The main server should not change to something you like about another server because that goes against the whole point of their being the other servers in the first place.

I'm too tired to read all the rest, my point stand at 'No'. An my reason is because I think this idea is too complex and too much a change to the main server, it's hard to even know where to begin.

Personally, I'd say Q is more of the you-get-simple-options-and-have-to-make-the-best-of-them kind of server... That's what I like about it.

I think the tech should go into main, but we should make main more like what chaos was supposed to be - simpler play, less rules, what not.

As in, maybe take away techs, commander/officer UP bonuses should be taken away or something, or...

Yeah, Q should have simpler play than main.

The war idea sounds like a complete rip from Utopia :D right down to the wins, losses, war meter and private forums for war matters ingame, as well as alliance statues, such as agressive, peaceful etc etc.

:D

not that it's a bad idea, it's just exactly the same as utopia's war system.
