Humans didn't provoke global warming by themselves, they just participated a bit in it.

C - I'm sure we've drifted a lil off-topic with this detour havent we?

A) The Copyright laws are ridiculous, you know the Olympics copyrighted Twenty-Twelve and 2012 so only they could make/license the merchandise. If you look it up lots of phrases are copyrighted for everything from advertising slogans to saying used on Mugs, TShirts, BumperStickers etc

B) Anything the UN says people assume the US has paid them to say lol We should have self determination, kind of the whole point of democracy and extremely hypocritical for us to try and force other nations to switch to democratic forms of government while denying our own population the freedom of choice. But the UN is not a solution..... to pretty much anything.

C) Copyright Law and Global Warming, just a touch off topic I must agree lol

Vote in an hour.
Will be rejected, but some very stirring speeches from people in favour.

They may lose the vote, but they've certainly won the debate.

EDIT: 111 for, 483 against.

The 3 biggest political parties ordered their members to vote NO

Conservatives - Because they need LibDems in coalition or Government becomes an impotent minority unable to push through any legislation/budgets without vote trading.

Labour - Even though they were criticising Conservations in the house for broken promises only yesterday, now once again wont support referendum they also promised, bloody hypocrites & liars.

Lib Dems - Because they are strongly Pro-EU and know they would lose a referendum.

Mixed feeling on this,

I want the UK to leave the EU for the many reason already stated

BUT

Cameron is right, if the Con/LibDem coalition falls apart over this then we could have an early election or 4 years of minority government with uncertainty which would lower the UKs credit rating & increase our interest rates damaging our economy.

What Cameron should have done is set a future date or time limit for a referendum like 4 years, before next election, or as part of next election, then select a committee to agree exactly how the referendum question be worded, and start preparing for public debates and info packs to educate people of the factual pro's & cons of being in the EU.

We live in a democracy where elected officials are under no obligation to keep the promised they made to get elected, and what the voting public want is ignored. Can we really still call it a democracy ???

KF, as i read that post of yours i thought to myself "did i write that!?!".

That quote is from V i think? anyways, i prefer this one;
"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."
-Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

So the question is, does our Govt fear we the people, or do we the people fear our Govt?!

As for living in a democracy...bad joke for the modern times. this result was to be expected. i'm flabbergasted that we let "them" get away with breaking promises.

@Mezz, i don't care if Cameron is right or wrong, he knows what the people want and should give the people what they want. once we we leave we are then free to get our house in order. will it be painful in the short term, of course it will be. but in the long term...THIS IS SPA...i mean...THIS IS ENGLAND!!!

As for these credit rating agency's, they need to be dealt with for insider trading, they are as guilty as the banks, they can be dealt with if a PM had the gumption and will to do it.

Edit:
If we don't get out soon it will be to late. the EU is a dinosaur and is going to drag everybody down:
