Something strange going on...

I just logged and noticed I gained 180 ranks in FEW hours, top 50 is totally different from last login at approx 5-6pm gmt+1...what's going on? New rank update??

Jan, 2008 ongoing - more fine tuning
* The Cosmic Exploration, when above 2billion army size, still slows - but not by nearly as much now.
* Rank is now based 50% on planet counts/influence and 50% on other ranks (was 100% planet counts/influence).

Read the Game Updates. So I guess it 1/2 changed to the way main is ranked and 1/2 stayed based on total planet #

Yea saw one of these annoying accounts with like 100mil army size having a monsterous covert now he jumped to rank 700 or so lol now he's not so safe anymore!

these sniper accounts will still be pretty much unstopable as yes they can now have there stats wiped clean but they still have there massive CeR from there farming runs

And the fact admin has made a def a liability. Don't forget deascention is still not possible on an active sniper so yes, they are unstopable.

I had a top ten def containing 500 mill def planets and a top 20 strike containing 100 mill planets. A sniper with 118 mill total population in their realm decimated it in 30 hits.

So unless you drop 3 bill planets into def, and your opponent has less then 1/2 bill total population. Your def is toast.

Hence, defense is a liability

I've also had my stats at that level-but the only times I'd found it be a liability was when I didn't keep my assasin stats at a similar level... Did you end up losing those from attacks or destroy military? Because it would be very, well-I won't say wrong-but odd (at the least) that a small army could mass down that kind of defense...

Which is why I think that there should be something like "lifers" for assassins and covert in ascension. You can train X amount of planets but then .2X planets are forever trained in that particular discipline. It would prevent (or at least severely curtail) the practice of dumping a bunch of planets into assassin and/or covert to kill or spy someone. Either that or limit the number of assassin planets or covert planets that can be sent on mission (perhaps 500 million: "The Ascended Council frowns upon those who practice deceit and treachery on such a grand scale...yada yada yada)
