Fixing Decension (my way)

First: lets address: What is Decension?
Descension is the removal of ones ascended stats on main, but I ask, whit decension the way is has been and what is now, To what Tactical Advantage?
Wars on main, only really matter for about a week before turning into a farm fest. So by the time you rid one of their bonuses, but all that does now in war is decrease ones income slightly. They have already sold or had their defense massed, their own massing is done and most strike is sold, and everyones covert has been AC'ed.
So the only real stat that is actually affected is income, but thats only effective on the 4 days when they are on PPT, on 3 day they are not, then it hurts you or your team mates instead of them because you can't farm as much.
So overall, decension really has no real practical application. The only bonus is that you can brag about doing it, and they go 2 weeks with the humiliation of their title reading Living God of a Descended Indu or something.
I am going to go with the policy to be something that can be used as an effective strategy in war following to concepts
1) Easier to accomplish
2) Less effect time.
My goal is that it will become something that you launch as a first strike to rid the bonus to an opposing sides defense before massing it. Like wise, the defending side may use it to rid an attacking side of its bonus.
-Lets keep the same
--the 99 Turn Cost.
--Ascended Life Force
--Ascended Life Force Reserves
--Ascended Life Force Cache
--3 or so hours between ascended attacks.
--1/3 rule
Lets take away
-Ascended attack MODIFIER
Ascended damage and recovery ascended life force
--The Rook's 1st post below
--Essentially, is reducing the ability to gain new life per turn after an ascended battle.
Add
-if you attack someone and they deal enough damage to descend you, you get descended.
Remember
- Defenders still have an advantage because they have Repulsion to repel damage.
Effects of Decension
(Main Effects)
-Loss of all Bonuses.
-Duration
--Prior Loss of bonuses for an 1 day
--Prophet - Loss for 2 days
--Messiah - 3 days
--Incarnate - 4 days
--etc
---Those who have ascended more have more to lose and longer to recover.
---I think that this is reasonable given how easy it is to be descended now.
---Those who have ascended more, should be harder to be descended.
(Ascended Account Effects from decension)
-You lose access to your ascended account for a time
-You get protection when your ascended account comes back.
-Duration
--Same as the amount of time ascended bonuses are loss.
-Recovery time (Ascended PPT when you regain access to account)
--Same as the amount of time ascended bonuses are loss.
Now before, all the arguments and stuff against decension/descension being easy is that people didn't work on their ascended accounts and so they can't protect themselves, and blah blah blah.
Descension was released 15 Feb 2007, almost a year ago. 1 Year IS more than enough time on a text based game for any would be complainers/whiners to get their act together and start working. Especially after the October Updates.
And with choice to go Diamon and leave ascension and still keep bonuses, then I honestly think that those arguments are just plain obsolete.
Forum has given ample opportunities and time to get people to work on their ascended accounts.
If you keep giving them fish, they won't bother to learn how to fish.
