Re: New Rule Discussion: Stat Posting
Say I were to post a hit I made during a war with Caesar-knows-who.
How far does this "no stats posting" go? Do I need to cross out the entire defence, or can I hint at its size?
If I can hint, how obvious can I allow it to be?
Maybe for Vendetta's, the stats posting rule could be part of the 'rules' people set for their particular Vendetta; making it a modular extension of the Rules, with an "on/off"-switch for Vendettas (and wars?) to be explicitly specified in one of the first posts in the thread.
Just brainstorming..

It specifically says CURRENT stats for this very reason. If you've massed the defence down to zero, you can say what it was. If you've just made a naq hit while farming then no you can not.
The Vandetta thing will work if users post their own stats at the start. Again, there's no problem saying things that you've destroyed as if it's destroyed it is no longer current.

I think you should change it to:
Exception: When posting a possible bug or other exploit, it is allowed to post the relevant stats
somewhere on the forum

LOL.... no you don't get it.
Cheater accounts - well it would mostly like be confirmed as a cheater when admins bans such an account, so then there's no point posting the stats.
Scammers - well i'd have to (unfortunately) say no here because it is not considered cheating here so it would still be wrong in the eyes on the rule enforcers that stats would be posted.

Re: New Rule Discussion: Stat Posting
only problem I can see, is that if you have destroyed someones defence, you are allowed to say;
Does this not post the users current stats? being 0 defence?
I just destroyed Smooshables 28tril defence.. woo
Does this not post the users current stats? being 0 defence?
