Change is highlighted in yellow italics.

Section 5c.

Abuse / Racism
Members of the SGW community are required to speak courteously to others. Personal attacks on members are not tolerated. This includes comments about one’s sex, gender, skin colour, religion or cultural heritage.

You may not post personal information about another user regardless of how it was obtained. This includes their address, phone numbers, names or any other detail about their real life status that they have not already posted on the SGW forums their selves.

For exceptions to this rule please see the role playing section (section 6.)

Consequence:
Minor infringements such as throw away comments, may be ignored or a polite note from a moderator will be issued requesting the user tone it down. More serious cases will result in the issuing of warning points. Very serious comments will be given more warning points. This will be judged with input from the Ombudsperson, Forum Administrators and Moderators.

I agree with this change. Although it was in green not yellow italics.

agree - and lol at the colour!

However - would suggest that there is an exception clause put in stating that if a user posts their own information within the forum, then said user must accept responsibility that it could then be reproduced elsewhere.

I would also say that the posting of other people's personal info should receive an immediate ban -probably for about 1 month. Some people may find that harsh - I don't - and the way to avoid it is simply not to break the rule.

Agreed with Wolf on the immediate ban result.
One is more subtle when a hand is raised to spank you.. ;)

Agreed, this is not the Europol database here, we haven't to know everyone's address and private infos without their knowledge! :)

I agrea but why not instead of a month ban make it 2 if not 3. Basicly make it showing we do not want this.

And if a player has posted their own info then i agrea then they should accept if others post it.

Anyway.. whoever would be (for use of a word that doesn't make me seem condescending) regardless enough to share such information online deserves whatever happens.
And as Smoosh said.. don't get carried away. A normal ban would be sufficient enough and maybe after repeated offenses a longer ban would be put in place.

I think he's referring to people suggesting 2 to 3 months ban.

perhaps it would be easier to paint the walls white, give everybody a lobotomy, and give the place a nice disinfecting wash down.
