Can the rankings be made public so that you do not need an account to see them?

Because there's no point.
The rankings system is there for those that play the game.
If anyone that doesn't have an account wants to see the ranks so badly then why don't they just make an account so that they can log in and look at the ranks. The account can then become a farm for smaller guys.

Displaying the top 10 (or so) ranked people on the main page could actually be a good thing. It could generate interest for people thinking about joining and anyone possibly returning. Also the main page it a bit spare at the moment and showing the top rankings could help fill it up/make it look better.

I still laugh every time I see somebody's ignorance trying to belittle clarkey with the 'mack' comment.

As for the suggestion - I don't really see how it would attract new or even old players. It wouldn't attract new ones because they are simply a list of names that mean nothing to them; and it wouldn't attract old ones since they know that rank doesn't mean much.

I'm not fussed either way, but it might be a fun addition if you had a daily rankings for most ATs used, most supers killed, biggest naq hit of the day, most uu raided , that sort of thing, like a daily warmonger rankings to see activity! ~Thamuz~

Not a bad idea actually.
Better than the original idea becasue this is something that would be interesting for those that actually play the game!
