Re: comparision. so stop moaning!
People need to expect casualities in war, it is, afterall, the very nature of war. Every time a british soldier dies there is outcry, but thats what they sign up for.
Dont get me wrong, my heart goes out to anyone whos ever lost someone, be it in a war or not, but a soldiers job is to soldier, or if you put yourself in thast country as not a soldier, you are still expected to know the risks...I just cant see how people love they're sons/daughters getting into the army to make something of themselves, then kick off if they are killed.

I agree.
It is my belief that a soldier's sacrifice, even if it is not the ultimate sacrifice of one's life, is to be honored and respected. My father was in the service, as well as my uncle, grandfather, great uncle. I could go on. It is the sacrifice that they made for others to have the freedoms they possess that has meaning. There is not greater love then for someone to give their life to another.

Re: comparision. so stop moaning!
I respect any soldier who dies and i too am sick and tired of people who freak out at a young life lost when they signed up for it and fully understood the consequences! it kills me when they die but it is their duty and they signed up not anyone else for them

Currently accepting officers!

The way I see it...
If it is their choice to join, then honor and celebrate their memory and their deeds...
We all die...
They chose to find a way to make that mean something to someone...

Of course, I'm not really sure I want to open that can of worms.
