Nox works, even if you dont have any G&R. Only thing is, once you're in G&R range, it costs you 1 G&R point per turn to maintain.
So if you havent ascended yet, and you're in G&R range, I wouldnt suggest to use the Nox, as you wont get any G&R points (it will be consumed by the insurance)

Whether or not you're in G&R range doesn't matter. If you have G&R points but are outside of G&R range you will still lose 1 G&R per turn if on nox.

Has been debated to death.
Those in the 5 pt range, it cost them 6 G&R points for the same protection as a "cost free" Noxer
And rank 1 cost more
