well JT got a warning for it and it was masking to avoid the word filter.

wheter you diserve a warning for quoting it. that's a tough cookie, in essence you are responsible for what you post even if that's quoting someone else.

there isn't a realy specific rule about this but there is 1 related to it:

Section 3: User accounts.
e. Posting for banned users.
Posting for banned users is too hard for the moderators to police and as such is permitted; however if you post for a banned user you take full responsibility for the content posted.

it doesn't directly aply to this case but it is saying:
you are responsible for what you post

but still with that said there is still the fact that the warning to JT was given after the quote. so like i said this one will need thinking.

but advice for the future:
when reporting someone for breacking the forum rules do not quote them or at least mod the post yourself to avoid situations like this

well i had a pm from lore regarding this and he is agreeing with my above post.


you are completly responsibl for what you post. if you know a post violates the forum rules you should either do a small edit whn quoting it or you should not qoute it @ all. you reported the post yourself so you knew it was a breach of the forum rules.

when you don't like a post bcausse it breacks the rules you should actualy only do 1 thing:

report the post.

nothing more and nothing less, otherwis it leads to this kind of situations. becausse it is not okey to breack the forum rules when posting. then why should it be okey to have a rule breack in a quote you use from another user ?

You are not a mod, whether or not someone other then you gets a warning is absolutely none of your business.

I have to agree with the mod in this case. You are responsible for everything you post especially if you quote someone that broke the rules. As far as your question about someone else doing the same thing, I will look into it.

if you quote someone then that persons words become parts of your post. you have the power to edit your post. so if you know that what you are quoting is a rule violation you should mod it if you do not mod it then a moderator will do it for you, this can go acopanyd with the moderator issueing a warning for this.

with that said it means you are resposible for what you post. but wheter you actualy diserved a warning for this remains the real question here.

you obviously knew it was against the rules when quoting it so it's also a rule breack on your part
