I need a signature for my alliance

Hello,

I am Lord Zedd, leader of Midnight. Maybe you have heard of me. I am looking for a signature for my alliance members. Maybe someone can help me out.


1. What form of graphics are you after?

2. Ideally, would you like it to be animated?
Yes, animated. I would like to have 3 versions of the signature. I would like to have a Stargate in it. One of each show : SG1 (red gate), SGA (blue gate), SGU (black gate). Maybe in the background a galaxy or something. Dont know if it is possible to have an animated event horizon or maybe lit up chevrons?

3. Is there a particular size (dimensions) you would like the work to be?
Yes, 450 px at 200 px

4. Is there a preferred theme, character (s), person, object (s) etc? (A particular film, game etc)
A stargate needs to be in it. The name of the members need to be in it. But I can always do that with the PSD file. Something like this but then again totally different.


I like its structure but I dont want a copy of that signature.

5. Any preferred colour theme?

6. What text would you like on the piece?
Midnight needs to be written clearly in a nice font

7. How much do you wish to pay? Turns or UU or naq.
I dont know exactly but I think a reasonable price. What is a normal price here?

Well do not believe what they tell you but size does matters but what about 600 px at 250 px? Is that better?

Yes I know they have inserted new rules here for the signatures. 450 px I believe but I like to use it also somewhere else where bigger signatures are allowed like on the forums of our alliance.

seriously - the larger, the worse, that 450 pix rule isn't that bad and irrelevant...plus the prise might go up with that size

And don't forget that there are users with netbooks, with lower screen resolution (like myself).
In addition to that - do you want a new wallpaper or a signature?

Ok I understand. 450 px is the minimum. Let's talk about the price. What could this possibly cost? I can also provide pictures of the stargates.

I can have a look at it. Standard prise? I really don't know what that is, so...
But considering its animated + for several users + author has to handle over the PSD, well, might go a little higher...
But I don't have the guts to ask for specific amount, I let the "client" decide whats the job worth...

So, here it is. Quite huge IMHO. Yet simple, due to the size of the thing.

Is it just me, or is that shadow not working properly?
No offense, it may just be my monitor, but there's a huge white-grayish patch surrounding the tag -suits fine there- but it also goes around the gate image, and with the flickering of the chevrons, the gray expands and contracts.

no, its not just you...shadow would work correctly, but if that was .png, this is a .gif...I shall remove that, I'm just waiting for Zed to decide whether he wants any changes, so I don't have to edit it over and over again...

It is nice except the animated shadow is not so good. Maybe you can drop the white animated thiny. The chevrons lit up nicely. The event horizon looks weird in my opinion.

Is it also possible to post the SGA and SGU gate? And maybe in the background where the name is written a blur city of Atlantis if possible? Want to see how that looks like.

I am not easily satisfied but you are good on your way. Maybe you can post the Midnight sign on the other side of the Stargate. I am curious to see how it will evolve.

Ok, so I switched the alliance name and put it on the other (looks better now IMO). I also added Atlantis in the background and removed that shadow.

All of the above have gate matching colors (outer glow and color gradients)
I hope the event horizon looks better now, since that was changed also...

all seem to look quite bad on darker BG, so Ill rework that...frakin gif format

Yes gif can be annoying. Why is only gif an animated format. Why cant png do animation.
