Paranoia Agent aired on Cartoon network in May of 2005, it revolves around a social phenomenon in Japan.
Basically, a young boy is assaulting people throughout the city, but no one can seem to find and catch him...what's more, some of the victims have very, very dark secrets.
It is not uplifting, but when I first watched it, I felt it was a pretty decent mindbender...I think it shows the ugly side of humanity quite well...
