transfer of resources restrictions...

okay, so I've read up on several past suggestions for restricting player to player transfers... to cut out multis and $$ players...

and based on other games, I have several suggestions:

1) what if there was no more direct transfer?

2) brokers between players could have set prices and a 20% tax...
based on values set by Jason...
like 100 naq brokered for 1 uu, charges an additional 20 naq.


3) you want to buy or sell resources off the market?
perhaps no Market Trade limit per week, except for PPT...

perhaps a difference in the purchase vs. sale market:
2500 to purchase good A, 1500 to sell good A... :)


4) you want to buy or sell resources to many other players?

have an auction market...
perhaps with a small tax on goods... or no tax at all.



5) lower the prices for buying resources off of Jason's Black Market.

6) allows the possibility to restrict the number of various kinds of trades...
even the Market Trades, as Jason thinks best.

7) stop selling Dual planets on the market.

The stop selling duals may work but at the same time I'd take away the ability to create planets and make them valuable again rather than just something everyone has.

As for the rest, Jason never intended his Black Market to be able to compensate for or be as cheap as 'other' trading becuase that would then truly leave only one way to play - with $$

that is the simple explanation...

it is the root of the problem with the entire market at the moment...


to be honest, of all the $$ markets, i'm least concerned with the sale of dual planets...

although i do believe it is not good for the game, it's not really that high on my list. :-)

You need to make suggestions AFTER the alliance update is released, as i doubt he'll do any major changes till that is done

I made a very simular suggestion a long time ago to stop the $$$$ trade when the market first started to crash, it did not get a good response, the market crashed and now $$$ players can buy vast quanities of resources very cheaply, getting an unfair advantage over those unwilling or unable to spend $$$$

However I did not think of the tax on gifts, this was the missing piece to prevent giving resources to a dead account to be raiding/farmed by the buyer. I like this addition, but fear none of this will ever happen, and even if it did it's kinda the 'locking the stable door after the horse has bolted' scenario, many big $$$ already paid for and received their advantage.

That and most people have their sellers/buyers. So even stopping it, and removing the section, would not stop it. As you said, locking the stable, but the horse has goneskii

i like the effort to bring balance to the game but i dont think it will work. free trade has become one of the largest parts of the game and im sure that hurting that will drive out just as many players as we are losing now because of cash trade and free trade.

In all honesty ya it sucks when someone goes from 1-300mil over night from cash or plows ahead of of the competition with MS's or raw or whatever but we have to protect all players. in our attempts to stop cash domination we dont want to hurt the players who work for there accounts.

buying uu from a player when over trade limit and raiding it off an inactive for example is pretty common and limiting direct send and over taxing those kinds of trades isnt really fair to them.

on another example theres all sorts of growth programs (ill use our training alliance as an example) one person in the ascension growth program gets extra resources from all others in the program when he ascends and when others ascend he sends to them as well. based on a set proportional value. most trade are sent direct or though 100 to 1 type brokers. not selling for cash just helping everyone keep trucking.

im all for trade regulations and such to stop too much cash flow but not if it will also cause big affects on people not doing cash trades.
