MS building question

Ok, so we've all seen some of the absolutely monsterous motherships floating around.. question I have?

Is it better to have a balanced MS? Offense Strength = Defence Strength

or is there another formula?

when ms's battle:

ur ms strike V their ms defence.
if your ms strike is better than their defence, you kill a certain % of their volleys aswell as the usual shields and the same for their strike on your defence... i suggest you build it balanced.

Depends on what you're gonna use it for

Farming - more def.
Warring - more strike.

AoH has it right. Even if your MS strike can't beat their MS def. Having a high MS def will help stop their MS strike from adding so much power to their ground troops.

I'd always go def rather than strike, no matter how high your strike is you always wanna have a higher def to protect that strike for as long as possible wether your just farming or having m/s battles in war. ~T~
