with this new update my amount of defense weapons and their strength and amount of soldiers is still the same yet my ranking for defense has fallen by over 1000 and is now 400mil from 1 billion
the same thing has happened to my defense and covert
why has this happened?

Your covert should have dropped by 10x but your defence and strike should not have changed. I think this may be a bug and it is being discussed in the relevant section of the forum. If you want, PM me your race weapon and unit stats. I'll try to work out wether or not this event is, while widespread, a random occurrence.
