Raid feature

Hi Admin
I would like to propose an increase to the percentage of UU taken per raid.
I have just tested the feature by attacking a regular farm who had occumilated just over 3000 UU.
I raided him twice using 15 turns per raid.
The total UU I got from this was a whopping 94 UU. Needless to say I was very dissapointed.
this was against a farm that had no defence whatsoever
with this ratio they would need to have 10's of thousands of UU to make raiding worth while.
Please increase the percentage

I think that's the point, I also think that's a good idea. (10's of thousands)

It is an interesting problem to say the least.
You have to really hunt around for a good place to Raid, and odds are it won't stay very Raid-able for long as others find it, or it trains up the stash of UU it has built up.
Players can protect themselves from Raids not just by defending or having scary Covert scores to hide themselves, but also simply by logging in regularly and training their UU into Miners (which, really there is no penalty for - a 10% Lifer rate is pointlessly though, but that's another issue altogether) or Spies of whatever really.
Farm accounts either don't protect themselves or are just plain inactive. For that they sort of deserve to be exploited a bit (and they are, by simply being farms).
Based on that information, an increase in the percentage stolen in a Raid is actually quite realistic. Since everyone's UU were converted to Miners automatically when the update went live, the dangers to actual players are quite minimal (you cannot have your entire income taken away by the top players). All you need to do is train Miners, buy defences (enough to make Raiding you an anattractive option, not necessarily impossible) or indeed threatening players with massings/sabbings if they don't stop Raiding you, heh.
Buuuut on the other hand, players may still object to the possibility of their UU being taken while they sleep and so on. Best to let the updates run for a few weeks before we do anything drastic.

LOL - what is being suggested is to change raid as to how it was when it was first introduced many months ago. Guess what? An overwhelming majority of people absolutely hated it and it was soon removed due to public demand.
The feature as it stands now is good, because players (especially thsoe with a high UP (and/or multi-accounts)) will now have to manage their accounts more effectively, rather than sitting there with 0 defence and just letting their UU build up over many days - otherwise they will lose them!
I think the idea of increasing the % taken should be quashed right now! The reason you are not getting many UU is because everyone's UU was converted to miners when the update was implemented - think about it!!
But there are some people out there with bery high UPs - these people will be the targets, and will have to more effectively manage their accounts!

how about, the RAID success depends upon player defenses hugely.
a guy with 0 defense can have loads of UU stolen. however, army size and UU available should be taken into account to, and maybe even U.P to prevent over the top losses.
A limit on how much a player can be raided a day, (say upto 75% of his U.P) could be placed...

what i dont get is Now since everybody knows that u should now train miners becuase...
1. They give u more money
2. They arnt stolen which means a lower supply in UU
but since we get so few UU in a attack i say this should drastically increase the RAID gains becuase of the lower supply to balance it out

Ultimately, i think raid has been implemented the way it has to encourage/force people to better manage their account.
Gone are the days now when you can just sell all of your defence weapons, set your realm alert to critical and just leave your account for days on end to amass a huge number of UU!
No - people must now manage their account - othrewise their UU will build up and they will lose a lot.
By the way - does anyone know what the % UU taken during a raid is (roughly)?

A topic in General Discussion seemed to reach a consensus that it was around 2%. That said, the list of updates Forum publishes says it also depends on turns used, enemy defences and your strike power. Makes sense. But suffice to say, it's not that big a threat anymore.
