Attack strategy
Attack strategy, so ive noticed that all the big hitters use Supers and non supers.. is that so they dont have to dedicate the supers or whats the deal with that dont you lose more when you do that? what are the benefits casue you would need alot more to equal the same amount as just one Super am i wrong?

yup and if you look at merc price if u lose 3mil of them instead of 3mil supers they are good to have.

You can only have.. a certain percentage (dastupy, fill me in) of mercs per your trained troops.
So you'd have 5m supers, and 5.5m mercs, and it's cheap as **Filtered** to mass.
But I'm no expert. >_<

Re: Attack strategy
It's simple.
You have let's say 5mil supers and can only have 5.5mil mercs. So, you train like 4mil attack troops (you do NOT train them as supers!), you buy the extra mercs available, then untrain the attack troops. You should have 8.7mil mercs or so now. But those mercs disappear turn by turn, because you are beyond the limit. So it doesn't last long, but is helpful to mass after you did it.

I thought they had to be supers to be applied toward helping your merc count...
**EDIT:
Except that I have found, as have others before me, that training regular troops does increase the amount of mercs you can train...
it's only worth it if you are planning to train a bunch of regular attackers, train trainloads of attack mercs,
untrain the regular attackers and then use the mercs with your supers all in one turn, because even if you leave the regular attackers trained,
I think you start losing excess mercs on the very next turn change.
( I have occassionally trained extra regular attackers for storage purposes,
before I have replenished my lost mercs for the day,
so I know what I find when I go to the merc market...)

As I said, the 5.5mil mercs stay as long as they aren't killed in action. However the extra 3.2mil mercs drop every turn, attacking or not, to get back to 5.5mil mercs after some turns.

Re: Attack strategy
ADDITIONALLY - each Merc (attack or defence) is paired with a 'super soldier' (attack or defence). This means that you can only have as many attack/def Mercs as you have supers of that type. (plus 10% for each merc level)

Re: Attack strategy
Well what ppl call heavy mercing these days is:
750k attack supers.
1 mill def supers.
You should be able to buy (1.05 x 750k attack supers)= 787.5k attack mercs.
But, you can have 1837k mercs in total (due to you having 1 mill def supers) So you can buy extra mercs up to 1.8 times (instead of 1.05 times) your amount of attack supers, giving you 1.35mill attack mercs.
Also rube dragon , never train normal attackers unless on ppt getting G&R or if you are gonna train them to supers after. You have twice the losses compared with the same amount of troops as supers.

Re: Attack strategy
Btw in my plan, you have to untrain attack troops before attacking, of course.

How does that help? As they pointed out earlier sercs are teamed up with supers, not regular soldiers so training regulars shouldn't affect the amount of mercs you can get and therefor this tip is useless.
