Is farming profitable ???
if you buy turns on average AT price which at the moment is about 850 bil what would you say hit for? , and would you make any gain on it or would you make a loss?

Re: Is farming profitable ???
Probably best for market discussion but no-one would see it down there.
Could hit for 15bil if your account is set up right, but usually 20bil+ off a 0 defence should make you enough profit

Re: Is farming profitable ???
urm, as long as you make more then 850bil after your repairs per 1k ATs you make a profit.
I usually hit for 2bil per 1AT at least, meaning i end up with at least 2tril perk even after repairs, this gives me 1.15tril naq at the rate you specified after taking off the cost of the turns :/
Yes it's profitable

Re: Is farming profitable ???
yeah it is slightly profitable but spending 850 bil and having to put that aside does kill you deep down inside like InR said.
but the main question is, is there anything we can do to lower the AT prices ?

Re: Is farming profitable ???
I'm surprised AT prices are still so low because honestly farming is so easy and there's so much naq out on the server the prices could easily be double where they currently are, and people would still be burning through them.
Most active accounts make above 20bil per turn, 12 ATs hitting that becomes *My brain stopped* 1.66.. T naq per k ATs
OK so not quite double the price but I know with my farming I'd still be making a comfortable profit and AoH as well, in fact scary to admit it but 2T per k ATs might actually make farmers sit back and carefully pick targets but that in turn would lead to inflation of naq out on the server...
So yeah... ATs should never have gone above 200bil per k

Re: Is farming profitable ???
well we did tried once actually
we were like 10 players each postin in market thread for example Buying Ats at 700b/1k rate, but as u can see it didnt work
i dont think we can do anything cause main problem is that admin raised price up.
i mean look. yes u make 1.5-2t naq with farming for 1k ats. but wt hell, u must count there your time farming, uu looses, armory repairs, chance to hit 0 naq ( u know that that happens in wars), defended attacks.
If ats reach 1t value i know i wont be buyin aynmore, i know ill play less active, but if market wants us to stop,.... well its not my fault

Re: Is farming profitable ???
if you can do anything about it???...well basically you can`t
unless ingame market rates change I don`t see the prices going any time lower....
currently demand is higher than supply and that means people can set the bar a little bit higher and demand more for the goods since the players have nowhere else to go....
and you know how they say:
"first come, first serve"
there are still people willing to pay good money for the AT even for the little profit....
At`s are essential when playing this game and without them you are basically a sitting duck....
you simply got to find your way around to compete with other players even with the current prices

Re: Is farming profitable ???
not really a way to stop it rising, only possibility is to refuse to pay it till it lowers, but there will always be those in need of turns, so the price will keep going up.
supply and demand...
Basically, this is just another way the game is **Filtered** up, sooner or later it will cost so much that smaller players can't make a profit and stop playing. then the larger players will eventually be priced and and forced to stop farming. meaning nobody will be buying and the whole market will be stagnant

Re: Is farming profitable ???
well its clear that the prices will keep rising as long as the turns on the black market stay high , so the only way would be to lower the $ of buying turns so they will flood the market with more turns lowering the price, granted jason will not like this as he will lose $ but the newer players will be able to get turns for cheap naq and continue playing until addicted (lol) and then maybe spend $ on naq or other packages that the game offers so in the long run it would benifit him , wouldnt it ? correct me if im wrong

It's not the $ market that affected it, it used to be that you could generate 700+ turns per market turn which meant people who didn't PPT or need merlins to protect planets could generate 2k AT and sell it fairly cheaply, now you get some ridiculously small amount for a market turn so that drives the prices up, because there are less ATs in the game

Re: Is farming profitable ???
reminds me of the current World crisis
basically, slowly people are having less money to buy goods which leads to the goods being in stock without the ability to sell due to large competion but with the difference that ingame market has no employes like in RL
In RL you have to wait until things develop and return back to the point they were before...
In this game, due to the inability to compete with the big guys who will be in the forseeable future still able to pay the rising prices thx to their high incomes will the small guys eventually get fed up with the thought of being unable to get some AT`s and basically become sitting ducks and since a lot of players have already been here during the "good old times" and played the game for several years, they will find it as a good "excuse" to leave the game....
players make this game what it is and if there won`t be found a solution how to increase activeness of the players and making AT`s more available, then you count on that, that even more players will start leaving the game....
it`s already bad as it gets right now with so many good players leaving the game..

it`s always been about the money
good idea but I don`t see this one coming....imho I think Jason doesn`t believe that people will start coming back or that new players will start playing from scratch when the conditions for fresh acounts didn`t change since this game went live and I suppose he`s trying to make as much money out of it as it gets because the game is slowly stagnating and basically he himself doesn`t see a way how to improve it to make it at least as good as it was few years ago...
If I was Jason, I would make a new server, without resets....something based on Atlantis...although SGAW exists, I tried playing it and it was quite complicated at the beginning ( too much different resources, too many units each required for something else) so I eventually gave up playing...
If Jason would make something like GW but based on Atlantis, I would surely start playing, it would be definately something new, something a bit more different and for a long time without ascending perhaps since even in the series noone ascended even though they met ascended Ancients bla bla...
personally I found the first SGAZW very good until it got hacked, many players played, was fun and there were also many players from GW....
It`s time to make something new for the players....just as the series ended at a certain part, so will this game get too boring
my 2 cents
