Day 1:
Nobody knows how it happened. As i sit here at my desk, surrounded by my hoarded food, ammunition and my 4 trusty guns....I no longer care.
I am alone, the foolish so called "Human Resistance" sits outside in what they perceive to be safety. "Safety in numbers" they all cry. But i know what their fate will be.
It started at 12pm GMT today, 11 hours ago. One single zombie made its way onto our university campus, and the entire area was sealed off. I cannot escape, none of us can. Our only choice is to remain alive long enough for the zombies to starve to death.
I believe i have enough food to last me a week, though i must venture outside on occasions for other things including visits to the library. Exams are more important than zombies according to my parents and the uni.
My housemate was away from campus when the outbreak occurred, though i hear he will be shipped back incase he was already contaminated.
Thats enough for my diary today.
11 hours after outbreak
Humans remaining: 371
Total number of zombies: 16

Re: The Apocolypse
Day two, 26 hours after outbreak
Last night I was forced from the safety of my home to rescue some friends, only to find by the time I had got to them....it was already too late. Armed with 2 pairs of socks and 2 guns i strolled across campus at 12am. Every noise to me was the sound of a zombie, every cry i heard made my heart race. Thankfully, I made it there and back without incident.
Today i awake to find a beautiful day. At another time, or in another place, I would take a stroll outside or maybe go to a BBQ with friends. But no longer.
I hear reports of zombies roaming just outside my house. They are growing in number and we are lessening.
My housemate has yet to be delivered back. I fear for his life and have saved him a gun should he need it.
26 hours after outbreak,

24 Zombies

Re: The Apocolypse
Day 2, 31 hours after outbreak.
Wow, what a day...
I was lured out from my house by a friend promising sunshine, revision and a few cold beers. I was unable to resist the offer of alcohol and sunshine and so vacated my safe haven. Armed with 2 guns, 12 beers and lovely summery music I made my way to the campus field and took my place. Within one minute a horde of 20 or so Zombies spotted me.
The race was on, i noticed their interest in me and imediatly the adrenalin kicked in. Dropping everything except one gun, i darted off in search of a near by safe haven. Sprinting ahead of the oncomming horde i gained ground, and another human joined me in my flight.
I reached the enterence to the safe haven known as "Rutherford College", only to find 10 or more zombies waiting for me at the entrance! One zombie leapt of the bridge marking the entrance to the safe haven and dashed towards me and my new companion. I stopped in my tracks, drew a deep breath, aimed my gun and pulled the trigger. A moment of fear was followed by an explosion of flesh sending the zombie staggering back to lie on the floor writing in agony.
Giving me no time to reload or retrive my spent ammo Zombies came at me again from front and back. Me and my comrade dashed of in other direction towards another safe haven, but in our frantic run we got distracted. I ran on towards the library and made it in just as the horde crashed into the door behind me.
Safe...for now.
I waited for ten mins, did some revision, then tried my luck outside again. Alas, as soon as i stepped out the door 3 zombies stood up and ran towards me. I darted inside, trapped once again. Next time i waited longer and made my way outside. This time the enterance was not guarded and i made my way back to my spot on the grass. There i sat and slowly drank while eyeying up the zombies in the distance.
Suddenly, two of them stood up and began pointing at me and jumping up and down. I watched this for a minuite to see if they would try and chase me again.
But then, as my attention was distracted, an ear peircing shreik pierced the warm spring evening and i sprang round in fright. Their, running towards me with a look of delight and determination was a topless zombie, covered in blood and bearing a huge sheild made from bone and smeared with yet more blood. I fired my gun towards him, but it was deflected by his monsorous sheild. He bashed my weapon aside and next instant he was on top of me tearing into my neck.
I spent the next few hours chasing humans around the field without any luck. I got shot a few times but nearly made some amazing kills.
Then...quite strangely a weird man holding a huge book that read "HvZ rulebook" descended from the heavens.
"And the book thus said: 'Thou Zombies shall not useth Sheilds, for thy minds are incapable of such thought, and it givest though an unfair advantage!'"
And lo! I was turned back into a human! I found my lust for blood disappearing. Quickly I ran back to my safe house, and here i am giving my rather strange report...
31 hours after outbreak
353 Humans
34 Zombies
Im still alive.

Re: The Apocolypse
Interesting, seems the outbreak seems to be growing to a certain exponential degree
The theory I've heard is that if by the 3rd day you aren't killing one zombie per person minimum then there is no hope for humanity

Day 2, 34 hours after outbreak
Im still safe for now.
The human resistance has decided to mount a large scale attack on the zombie camp tonight. I fear for their lives. I know not how many will make it out alive...i fear not many.
I would join their plight but some things make me unable to leave, which i shall not go into detail of here.
I think next time i write, the death toll will be much higher.

Re: The Apocolypse
Day 3, 56 hours after outbreak.
Well what can i say?! A lot i guess!
The misery from the recent past has drawn me to drink. Too many of my friends have died, somewhere in another part of the country my family lies in ruins or feasts on the bodies of my old neighbors. Ah who cares, today is another lifetime for me and the others that survive.
My house mate came back today. We managed to find an exit from campus and spent a large amount of the day scavenging outside. If caught we would have been killed but luckily we were not. We found much food and brought it home with us.
Then I was informed by the resistance that a VIP needed extraction from the library in the center of campus. As me and my friend rolled past campus in the car we saw the zombies and the resistance engaging behind the library...i dived out of the car and came out in a roll, my gun firing at the zombies. Bullets flew everywhere as i joined the resistance and took down many zombies.
We secured the entrance to the library after suffering only one casualty and taking down many zombies. One there we darted inside, seconds later the ZIP dashed towards us followed by 10 or so more humans. JOY! We raced back the back exit knowing most zombies had been dealt with already.
Sure enough, only a handfull of zombies were there to deal with. We took them down within seconds and began our dash towards safety. We ran and ran, blood puming, sweat dripping, heart pounding, and eventually safety was in sight. But then, as we were sure of victory, zombies dashed out at us from either side. Guns blazed and screams heightened and fell. The adrenalin in my body took over and i dispatched a number of bloodied corpses running at us before i knew what was going on. Seconds later we were safe and began running. Then we were at the gate, leaping over it and in safety.
We had rescued the VIP and were all safe bar one or two. For minutes we stood and congratulated one another, then it was time to depart. I was the only one heading my way, so i set off alone across the field. The path took me to a wooded area which i struck across through a path straight away intending to make my way home stepping out in the open as little as possible.
A number of times during my journey i heard shouts amongst the trees and thus broke into a run to escape. Thankfully i arrived back without incident.
An hour later; me, my housemate and a few of our non existent friends went for a BBQ out on a field armed with our guns and socks. The night was uneventful but the large crate of beer is now the reason my diary is so jumbled!
anywho!
57 hours since outbreak
289 Humans
98 Zombies
Though i believe more of the humans have died from other means.
