Making user my commander ERROR message that shouldnt be ther

Ok, my Commander Ascended right? That was 3-4 days ago now...anyways, i went to make him my Commander again and it says 'NOTICE: You can only change commanders once per day. After all, you do not want to gain a reputation as a officer with no allegiance!'


Well, the fact is, since my commander has ascended, i havent made anyone else my commander, and i only tried to make this user my commander....can anyone help me?

my ingame name is red_label_45 if that helps....

friend has same issue, and he hasnt changed commanders in 3 months...
