The comments have been on topic so far. One of the less-known side effects of referencing blogs or any other sources is that the source itself becomes part of the topic. Especially if you keep your opening posts so very open and unspecified.

i am not backseatmodding, but i get very...how shall i put it...frustrated i think best fits how i feel-when people post such nonsensical responses to something so serious without any investigation on their part...

that looks like my cue to cut in with an "Ad hominem" accusation.
but let's look at things a little deeper, shall we?
what is an "Ad hominem"? it is the claim that the origin of an argument has any bearing to it's validity. it is a classical fallacy, meaning that in formal logic, this claim is in-valid, and should be ignored.
in other words, the predictions of an acclaimed proffesor of economics regarding the next fiscal year has just the same validity as those of a 4 year old.
hmmm....
that doesn't seem right, does it?
well, here's the catch: in formal logic, this claim is in-valid, and should be ignored.
in our everyday lives, that aren't run on a formal logic basis, and that are very hard to be deconstructed and reduced to it, many times we have no choice but to resort to "classical fallacies".
for me, they will never have the strength of a well put togheter counter argument, but their usefuleness is undeniable.

An unreliable source can have magnificent stories, but it's all bull. Everyone can copy-paste bits and pieces from reliable sources, add in little bits of their own, draw 'obvious' connections that are only obvious when you leave out a hell of a lot of text.

To give you an example:

See what I did? I took a source, and used bits and pieces to create a story. Now we should add in a few 'likely', 'maybe', and voila, my own agenda is served.

where do you draw the line between presenting an opinion an "back-seat modding"?
i didn't (nor did KMA) order anyone, nor used a special color or any of the sorts.
we presented our opinions (and KMA requested something).

anyway, after reading that link, well, it had little to no factual basis, no analysis what so ever, and not one fact regarding one single state other than Arizona. what it did have is a nicely drawn map with some states colored a different coluor.
and the fact that we're 3/4 past the time frame designated, and not one state filed bankruptcy, means something.
