For those in the UK......
He's possibly been arrested amidst a MAJOR police operation.
Rothbury residents have been instructed to go home and lock their doors. And apparently the Police have arrested one individual near a river who had several police snipers trained on him.
No word on whether the arrested person is Raoul Moat.

Apparently the person has not been arrested yet, but it's all at a stand-off and he is holding a sawn off shotgun to his head and he is surrounded with police marksmen and negotiators.
If it's him I hope they take him alive.... he's hoping for "suicide by cop".
The man's description is similar to Raoul Moat but there's some that claim it's not.

Just to give those, such as SS, that don't live in UK the story of the past week.
Raoul Moat was released from prison on 1st July.
Raoul Moat was dumped by his girlfriend whilst in prison, and he believed that she was shacked up with the officer that sent him down.
The day after his release on 2nd July, Raoul Moat went to his ex-girlfriends house, and shot her through the window. She survived. He then shot dead her new boyfriend outside the house, and apparently he was not a police officer at all.
The next day on the 3rd July, Raoul Moat wrote a 49 page document where he declared a 'war' on the Police.
That same day he randomly shot a police officer in the chest and face when the police officer was just sitting in his parked patrol car. The police officer survived.
Raoul Moat then went on the run.
Since then several people have been arrested for assisting Raoul Moat.
Raoul Moat wrote another letter and left it for the police to find, and there were reports that he had threatened the "wider" public, even though he earlier claimed he was no threat to the public but just the police.
7 days later is today.
Over the few days police have found his car, camping site, camping gear, mobile phones, which are probably all things Raoul Moat purposely left for the police to find.
They now have someone at a stand still in the area with many police marksmen surrounding him trying to negotiate with him. Many police snipers are in the area too. Earlier the RAF and SAS were called out to assist in the search.
The subject is reportedly holding what may be a sawn off shotgun to his neck. Reports suggest he fits Raoul Moats description, although some witnesses say they don't think it is.
Raoul Moat want's to go out "suicide by cop".
That pretty much sums up the last 7 days in Rothbury, Northumberland, UK.

Why not just throw some flash bangs at him and then hit him in the shoulder disarming him. Or they could just walk away and not give him any attention. And wait for him to lower his shotgun then take him down.

More police arriving and now it's dark and they've brought in artificial lighting to the area.
Well it's been like a 4 hour stand-off now.
Was hoping it would be resolved before i went to bed. Oh well.... will see what happens by the morning.
