Descended someone but no change

Hi all, just wondering if there's been some sort of change to how your ascended links to your main.

I just descended someone. I spied them before the were descended and again once they were descended and the turn changed.

But the stats are exactly the same :S

I know I descended the right person, god quested them first. Plus:
Living God of a DESCENDED AJNA

So yeah, got the right person... But what happened?

I don't think the stats changed until they attack or are attacked.

I'll hit him after the turn change and see if his stats are any different

Hope it is, I wasted 300 ascended turns on this
