if you have a good enough covert score you can spy people to see what their stats are, with some practice and guess work you cna also sometimes guess roughtly what people have if you know some of their info. Example, say i have covert level 20 with 10,000 spies trained, that's a pretty good covert level, so if i check someone and find they have enough covert to stop me even spying on them i can make some guesses based on their rank about the other stats. If i had a low attack/defense and they were ranked near me chances are they would also have a low attack/defense...

Basically to be SURE you need a damn good covert so you cna snoop out all the details, otherwise you can risk some guess work

if you mean't how do you know how powerful YOU are, then that is what the ranks are for. Overall rank can be deceptive, but the individual ranks for each stat give a pretty good idea how you are progressing compared to everyone else.
