Defense versus Loot Percentage and Raw...?

Anyone else been noticing that the larger the defense built,

the less naq you get hit for, both in terms of ratio to defense, and in terms of actual amounts?

Actual Defense Action rose slightly this past week... from a pervious high of 981 bil to a new high of 988 bil...

before that, it was significantly less... at least 200 billion less in raw defense...

before this week, I had not been attacked for less than 60 bil naq on a 600 - 621 bil defense in several weeks, except by Farmer #1... who I thought was simply a crummy farmer...

I am left with a tough call, are the farmers trying to persuade me to sell my defense?

Or are they more desperate?

Or are they really just crummy farmers?

Depends the larger defence the less of a percentage profit I will hit for.

eg.

#1 1T def, I will hit for say 100bill
#2 2T def, I will hit for say 150bill
#3 3T def, I will hit for say 200bill

In the current market the 10% rule isnt working in my opinion. bigger hits are more profitable as less repairs are required therefor the profit gain is worth it.

so hitting a 980+ bil defense, with a mothership, for 37 or 55 bil, or even 79 bil
is or is not worth your time?

personally, I would loath hitting a player for 37 bil
when they have anything close to a 300 bil defense...

I'd better be pretty desperate for that...

So basically to sum up, the 10% rule up to 1T defences then the % decreases for me anyway.

But I do occasionally hit people for 30bill with a 3T def, but thats just usually because theyare in my farm list and I just hit the icon lol...

yep... thanks for that... especially the last part...

as two of them do have me on their farm list...

not sure why... I drop farms as unproductive as me...

heck, making 5 bil a turn, I'm surprised I got on anyone's list... save for rare missed PPTs...

and it's not like the same people are gonna get my sleeping naq next week...
they not that lucky...

Still, for them it might well be more of an automatic button hitting reaction than anything else...


though farmer #1 has been making a habit out of it...

one time, hit me 3x in a week, and got nothing, cuz I was online all 3 times...

I actually persuaded him to set peace a while back...

meh percentages are overrated. I just go down from page 20-50 every few turns. Anything over 40bil that my strike can overcome, I take

percentages dont work, defences dont work, naq will be stolen sooner or later no matter what defence people have.

also there is no such thing as a "crummy farmer"

If it's profitable it's a good hit.

Even if it's not sometimes it can be a good hit because you are denying naq to the person you stole it from.

And in eh case of some mini-massings I've seen for naq, they weren't profitable but there was the 'I'm going to get that naq' rage that kicked in and was satisfied

After the updates that doubled defense and strike without doubling income, the profitable attack went from 10:1 to 20:1. Really you could proffit on a hit for 50 bil on a 1 tril defense. That rate can be even more favorable to the farmer if they are built with attack planets and a good mothership.

Really the things you have to look at is how many troops the attacker is losing + what is their repair bill for each bit. What one person may deem profitable another may not. It's all relative.

Just don't farm for under 25 bill naq, cause that's just silly. (Yes I know some people get their turns cheaper, but it makes it harder for me to farm so stop it )
