Messages to join alliances and such

For newcomers to ask questions to the other users... this section will usually answer most questions... requesting resources (naq/UUs/ATs) is not to be done here...

Messages to join alliances and such

Hey all, I'm fairly new to the game so bear with me ( I read the FAQ, holster your weapons Mods). I've been receiving a fair few requests to join me to alliances, be: an officer, and even someone to be my commander. Is this normal? I'm not particularly strong, nor do I have a big army, so what's the attraction?

Well, I would say that you are lucky. I have had that alliance soliciations, but very few officer and commander possiblities. Do you have large UP? Did you possibly attack someone and then they asked to be your officer? That kind of stuff happens all the time. When it is out of the blue though, never happens to me.

I don't know if its normal but here are the advantages:
    Commanders get a percentage of their officers up.
    Officers get a percentage of their commanders income.
    Alliances are useful for defence and general ingame help.

Well that's the thing, I didn't do anything and they started. I'm yet to attack anyone but the requests keep coming. I'm not too bothered really, don't think I'll start joining alliances for a while yet.
