Haveing recently been farming alot of active alliances... some rather big, some rather small, some in the middle, ive noticed an increaseing pattern...
...the Smaller and Medium players will either let you farm them, or send a PM to try and sort something out, as long as they are polite im happy to chat...
The Bigger players from the bigger alliances... They attack the weaker players in my own alliance as a sort of revenge attack... Its not like some of them couldnt mass me offline easily, my def is tasty enough but not unmassable by a long mile. The bigger players who should be able to handle themselves are the ones who choose the slap attack option, Punch always beats slap.
...I find this bemuseing. Attack the person who attacked you, No?
Food for thought.

Re: The big men at?
It's often easier to attack those with you whom are easier to mass/sab, along with many people feeling worse about getting alliance members massed more than getting massed themselves for something they've done. It's a tactic of war, for better or worse.

Perhaps, But why dally around the problem, when you can squash it? Attacking my alliance members wont hurt me, it will hurt them for sure, but that just means they will tell me to farm you more... Infact it makes me think your less capable than I gave you credit for , and in my eyes makes you a better farming target.

I was always a huge fan of doing this because it had a tendency to bring out the amusing nerd rage in people.

haha, in your case fair enough but Buck is a self proclaimed hero of the game, this is unfamiliar to him.

Similarly, I believe that people in general are inherently flawed. Deep down, we are programmed to hurt one another; either physically or emotionally. People are naturally selfish and greedy; governed more by bestial urges than common sense or ethics. Society is a terrible thing, too. The more supposedly civilized we become, the more immorality and decadence become the main staple of our daily diet.
Before Lost concluded, my main flippant excuse for not killing myself was that I wanted to know how it ended. I will get back to you with a new one when I find it.

They just want to provoke you, and as Mordack said taunt you into raeging. Just farm more until they either stop or mass you instead of your alliance members.

Re: The big men at?
It's a well known fact that hurting anyone IRL/Game isn't as effective as hurting somebody that the individual you are after cares about.
It's a pity, but I can sadly say I have done it multiple times to make a point to the person.

Re: The big men at?
Not sure I qualify as one of the 'big men' but usually over my years of playing I have attacked the one that hit me and also his alliance, randomly sometimes the entire alliance.
Game has changed a bit since - with the massings and sabbing updates.
Back in the old TL days, we would mass the one that his us, his alliance, and officers of the attackers and sometimes officers of other alliance members.
lol we even took it to the ones that we'd seen trading with said alliance, just looked through the market forums.
We also did that in AG.
How ever, now it seams many players attack smaller alliance members and trainee's instead of going for the attacker, possibly in hope to drive the trainee's away... don't know what the reason is.
You know me buck, I go with what ever I feel like each time
I don't want my revenge to be the same thing over and over again - I sometimes go for something new.

Also ... if you profit, or try to, of me ... or my mem ... I encourage my men to profit from you entire alliance
Retaliate with a propper resolve ....
When farmed .. farm back, but do a better job
When massed, mass back, but do a better job
Massing someones defences for a farm hit ... well .. it depands how much we feel like squandring I'd say
On the other hand .. anyone in our alliance logs is a potential training target

Re: The big men at?
id always mass the person that hit me or my alliance when i was oe, however more often than not the person who hit us had 0 def, no ms, nothing worth anything, but an alliance member did have massable stuff, so i'd usually go after the guy in the alliance with the biggest def if the guy that hit us had no stats, but that was only if the guy that hit us had no stats. that was just me though.
