ok i was the leader of the newly formed L.O.D allince, my commander just switch allinces so it made me switch too. so i asked to join my old allince again but then it said i was still in charge of the allince and i have all my abilatys but it wont let me acept myself. when i click on the botton that lets me mange the allince it wont let me accept myself.

Had the same problem myself. Make another member the alliance leader. It will take you to the create alliance screen, but it will transfer leadership to that member (just make sure it's a trustworthy one). Then they can approve your membership and reappoint you as leader. It worked for me.
