Splitting the servers !!!

Going off from a discussion going on in the suggestions for Ascended, I thought I would throw in this poll.

If you vote, please leave a comment here as to your motivation for your awnser of the poll. Please refrain from starting discussions in this thread.
This to prevent certain people from sending their friends over to support their point of view.

The idea of the poll is to get an insight of the forum community, how they feel about the servers perhaps being split up.

Meaning, the effects of the main and ascended server would no longer be tied.
This could effectively mean you no longer have to spent your time protecting your ascended account, and descension would no longer be possible.

I would love to be rid of the Ascended server, but I also like the advantages but not to the point where Descending somebody becomes impossible. It should be four hits in a period of 12 hours, minimum to descend somebody in my opinion.

Other than that, nobody should 'truly' care for it because it serves no true purpose for Main. The only reason it is still connected is due to that function, and that function alone.

I would be happy for it to be gotten rid of, so I can stop wasting my damn time on it.

Although, it is fun to DM people while in a war who have no idea what the "Assassin" function is..

Keeping with the idea from the SGW show, an ascended being could descend from that plane of existence, and thus lose their powers....I know the game has somewhat moved away from the show (in name as well) but this feature is actually of great benefit.

Also (and I know people are now going to start moaning about me bringing it up) being able to descend people gives those of us that spend a hell of a lot less $$ on the game a fighting chance to fight those that do. Taking this away from the game will finally kill main when many of us just give up competing

It's been linked too long to split it now. Have you been descended or something that you are going around hating on the ascended server?

Sure the ascended server should be tweaked a little, but not too much. For instance it should never have any sort of SS/USS and if it comes about that $ is paid for DMU, it should be at a ludicrously expensive rate. I would charge $1 for half a quadrillion. I'm sure people will still buy it. But it should still be the case where if you make the effort, you keep the gains. Alot of powerful ascended accounts are there because they made the effort to USE their turns as much as they could.

Being a smart ass with zero logic behind it only makes you look like an obvious..well, I don't think I need to state it for obvious reasons.

There are benefits for Ascended, and there are benefits for splitting it up. All in all it serves no function to benefit the main game except to give people something to do, descend other individuals, and mass others accordingly on that server (where as most people keep little to nothing trained to begin with).

Votes can go both ways, but I'd rather be without it in it's current state of disrepair and failed updates. Improve it, make it more viable, etc and I'd vote in favor of keeping it.

If you don't want to play ascended then don't ascend.

If you want to receive the benefits of being an Ascended Being, then you should play the Ascended Server or set yourself to Daimon (to retain your existing bonuses).

If you wish to DESCEND YOURSELF - ie 'quit ascension' .. you can.
You will become a 'Daimon' - basicly a fallen divinity...This is the only race open to fallen ascendeds who chose their own demise... The bonuses are: whatever your ascended account was giving to your main account at the time of banishing yourself, MINUS the ascended blessing[/color] (so no unique tech to this race.) (for example if you were prior, you got 5% bonus on att/def/cov/income, and the ascended blessing, and new weapon valus. You keep all but the ascended blessing.) A Daimon DOES NOT GAIN GLORY and, in battle and covert, TAKES DOUBLE CASULAITIES -- basicly, they are living fast and dying fast . From this race, you can choose a fully mortal race, or keep this race. No other options.

With a small amount of effort you can easily protect yourself but it does now require you to log in and play.

You cant have your cake and eat it too.

If you dont want to play the ascended server then dont play it, its not hard to grow enough to protect yourself, its part of the game so deal with it,

So if i dont like motherships i can start a poll/petition to get them removed? It wont happen because their part of the game and another aspect of your account and war.

sorry this is not aimed at nostra even though it sounds like it is but im tired of these changes being made by a minority of players made mostly in admin meetings that i cant make it to

I would rather suggest vacation in ascended. At least, if you want/can play it again, you won't have to change race and reascend. If not mistaken, there's less downside by being dormant than being daimon, although I think the daimon leftbar is rather good looking lol.

If you don't want to play, then deascend yourself. You have the option, like it or not, its their for you to choose.
Also it doesn't matter what your stats are you can have all 0's and only have to log in once every 9 hours for less then 1 minute (every 12 hours, if you know how to play). Sorry but you say you don't have time, but you spent an amount of time either exact or close to what it takes to save yourself from being de-ascended as it did to post in this thread.

So you have the choice to...
A. Deal with the linking of two servers, play both.
B. Deal with the linking of two servers, log in to check on de-ascended attacks, refill, ect.
C. De-ascend yourself, and only play main.
D. Deal with the linking of two servers and not care if you get de-ascended.
E. Deal with the linking and vacation ascended, play main.

if you are going to split it remove the bonuses from main ascending gives you

idc much either way, play it so my acc can become undescenable and to knock some power (decend) from others.. some ppl's strengths lie in main playing others in ascended atm u need a blend of both to work best in main wars
