Market Reset Times / Days...

I have not seen a thread with this suggestion in the past, so here it goes:


I think I should have the option to set my own weekly reset time...


(market reset, alliance upgrades / black market, and other weekly resets...

only need one time... but I want to move them all...


Maybe like once per year, or even once per lifetime?

If that's too particular, maybe I could choose, like, blocks of GameTime,

such as the 12a - 6am block, 6am - 12pm block, 12pm to 6pm block, or 6pm to 12am block...

and then Admin J could tell us what our option is in each block?


3:05 am local time was never on the list of good options...

Though the day of the week is fine with me...

perhaps it's not with other people?

yea, it does seem like it would give Admin Jason quite a bit of work too...

Oh well, people say they quit because they don't have time for the game...

yea, 3am is a big one of those things, me thinks...
well, at least for people in the Eastern Time Zone of the USA and Canada...

and that's a lot of peeps...

fine, you can use 1 market turn every 2 days... and no more...

Dubby you are usually online at that time anyway ... its 3-4pm Mondays for me (depending on dls) time doesn't worry me and I think most ppl have adapted to it being at a set time for them

and that's a big part of why i am usually awake and online...

doesn't make it good for me...

i woulda asked sooner, but figured it was too much work...

How is it helpful? What is it you do on the market reset that you need to wait up for it?

Planet - Why not do it in the morning when your awake
MPDSD - Again, they planets will most likely run out when it's most convenient for you anyway.
Name Change - Don't know that waiting up to do this is work it
Turns - Will be there to get in the morning
BrainUnWashing - Only train supers when you have MTs left?

I could unstand in the age-old system, where you'd get awesome rates. But I think those days have passed?

Personal PPTs are often used right after the market reset...
that being the primary reason over the years...


Massings, especially team massings often take place in the hours
right around when the market resets...

although not as much as they did
in the old days, I don't think.


At this point, I think I usually just use the alliance ppt around that time,

but of course, can't be messing with the alliance ppt timing on a personal level...

^^^ having alliance benefits that reset weekly
would probably cause enormous problems even if I had better, more thought out reasons...

I'm not trying to make the suggestion invalid. I can see the benefit in a way, I just think that, delaying the PPT for a day, or even a week (if you can cope), then you can just say PPT at 12am, instead of waiting 3 hours for the reset, then PPTing, then (I assume) going to bed

That would be becasue they don't have the spare time to play rather than the market reset being at a particular time?

I figured it was better to admit defeat, if only temporarily...

than be thought a fool until I had something better posted,
which could be never...

Now I remember the other major reason why I take my PPT's at this hour...

having assured myself that I always logged in with plenty of time to spare so the PPT round-down, would never affect me...

I just finished playing my favorite CD game, Starfleet Command II, Empires at War,

with less than 10 minutes to spare...

except, Doh!
it not only ends when it is supposed to, but early...
as is the new scheme, unless it's a bug,

but I doubt it...



So, sitting out for the past 10 - 15 minutes...

I'm not sure of the bug one way or the other. Hopefully J will come on here or the meet, and explain what's going on.
